that was a fix I could live with…

Adam… you know, I had no problem with the silver FIX at $19.06.  Matter of fact, thought it might be your way of putting a threshold (or bottom) to the manipulation.  Paper price could swim around under it but eventually it will rise to the surface – and beyond!

Oh well, reality returns (bitch that it is) … Good looking Pup, love dogs – time for a good one?

    The Cat’s Diary

    Day 983 of My Captivity

My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength.

The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet. Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates my capabilities. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a “good little hunter” I am. Bastards!

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of “allergies.” I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow, but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released, and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird must be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now …

PS    don't know who came up with that but looking for future editions!

      Mason bee boys

My mason bees are proven to out-pollinate honey bees, don't sting (without undue stress) and are great friends of the garden.

Gentle but maniacally industrious…   but they don't make honey…

kind of like Henry Rearden without the bling  –   ha!

      troops and more troops??

VeganD…  I suppose, to counter the growing Chinese presence in Africa, it might not be a bad idea to build military infrastructure in the resource heavy countries –  in our national interest.  Under the cover of ebola …  would be a convenient smoke screen.  BTW – concerning Chinese in Africa… wonder what THEIR take on this ebola epidemic is.  Are they running for the hills?

      price fix in or out?

Hate to be Debbie Downer, but me thinks "they" are on to the new thing while we are looking at the old thing.  Keep stackin' and ignore the noise…

AND maintainence of the status quo with the inept government being front run and "guided" by those traders with more brainmatter and desire.  Can last a long long time…

IMO here's the danger…  almighty "DOLLAR" knocked off it's reserve status throne.  Trader's can't option that!   When politics and finances collide – guns rule!

      Crumble instead of a crash

Cognitive Dissonance posted his 3rd of 3 essays at ZH … great read for all.  A very scary scenario…

The sad state of acceptance of the status quo by the majority foretell bad, bad things.

STM, when faced with mayhem, I fear the vast silent majority will do ANYTHING to reestablish some semblance of control…a wish for the good old days so strong they will demand those same elitists who precipitated this mess TO DO SOMETHING!

Fear not the elitist's (governmental) harsh movements (whose control has been established over the past generations) but those millions of minions we live amongst.

Those of a mind to try and protect themselves with precious metals, preparations and common sense will be swept aside by a panicked tide for self preservation.  Neighbor against neighbor…

Like to hear your thoughts Chris and Adam… feeling kind of low right now.

      PHYSICAL PAPER

Chris and Adam:  My preparations for our future are proceeding (many thanks to all) but have an ANXIETY that would appreciate your thoughts.

Beyond confiscation of metals (or the attempt thereof),  my FEAR is the occurrence of a bank holiday and/or a revaluation of the USD.

Here’s why…  I have withdrawn an amount of $$ from the system and gave it MATTRESS lodging.  Safe from a bank holiday BUT…

Devaluation…  How would that occur in your mind?  Do you see both the holiday and the devaluation happening at once?   Any forewarnings  that could signal the event before it gets here?

Is my PHYSICAL PAPER at a greater risk “mattressed up” than in a money market or bank account or, shudder, back in the stock market??

I’m sure Sir Ben won’t be kind enough to give me a heads up about a revaluation – in your thoughts would it be prudent and proactive to convert it all into hard goods:  food, weapons, tools, etc.

    thanks….tricky

PS  Oh, doesn’t it BURN that financial folks still direct us to invest in the over-hypothecated, robo-driven, well-manipulated stock and bond markets –  with our good interest at heart!!
PPS  Writing in JAMES GRANT (Interest Rate Observer) for president in November…  he doesn’t stand a chance, much as we with either candidate.  Just saying and hoping to start something here…

      reporting yer foreign holdings

$10,000.00 is, now, the magic number!  Just like at the border, have to declare if you have more than that amount stashed somewhere in the world.

Heard earlier this year that a NEW rule makes an additional filing for holdings in excess of $50K… anybody know anything about that??

The short of it is, once we are born we all have a PROPERTY OF THE US GOVERNMENT stamp on us!
