      There is no active leadership

    There is no active leadership

Agreed.  More telling to me is zero communication.  This really bothers me. Not knowing who I have been contributing financially bothers me the most and it is on me.  DD.  I blew it.  My own fault.

My new DD equation: communication + leadership = integrity

where integrity = “the quality or state of being complete or undivided”

This site and its leaders have traded away their integrity for reasons I do not understand.  If the site was complete it is no longer.  If the leaders were united they are no longer.

Truth is truth, whether stated, written, spoken, hidden, no matter.

Dave, sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for all you have done here at PP.  I am most grateful and terribly disappointed your column has ended without so much as a by-the-way from our “leaders.”

Everyone will buy bitcoin at some point

    Nice work @sand_puppy.  You wrote

The only question is at what stage of the conflagration will we act.

There is some line at which point you’re talking reaction as compared to preparation like you write about.  I like your idea of already knowing about a concept, even practicing it.

We can act now and many of us already have, as you know.  The rest of the world may catch on sooner than we think.  For example, several companies are offering crypto credit cards and debit cards.   Each has its own withdrawal and charge limits.  You deposit BTC or LTC and the crypto is converted at point of sale into USD.

Almost anyone can open a Bitcoin or Litecoin account, hold wealth denominated in these assets and charge goods and services against it within minutes.

      EUA

I have been wondering for some time how “we” square all this knowing the vaccines were developed to seek EUAs.  Will we never again develop a vaccine the “old fashioned way?” You know, where we do all the things medicine and science demanded until now?  Are we to live in an “emergency” for the rest of time?

I’m following along Sand Puppy, fun and all, but wouldn’t grandpa be doing his granddaughter a bigger favor if he left her a letter instead?  In it he might explain that

purchases –like a magic hair brush

are the things of fairy tales.  Then he could share the secret to all of life with her, that she has always been able to create her own magic hair brush, all by herself.  Grandpa would say that she cannot purchase the brush, no matter how much wealth she inherits.

Letting the mighty steed pass for now, surely the granddaughter deserves her mighty steed. The castle, though, that’s a problem.

Everyone will know she has great wealth, and they will know where she keeps her most prized of all possessions too.  Ah, not sure if it is the brush or the horse.  No matter.

I think we can pretty much agree that if she needs a hundred bowman to protect her horse and brush grandpa hasn’t really done her any favors.

Oligarch — how to get their attention

Nothing gets your tech Oligarch’s attention like a brisk 20% drop in your net worth in a single month

    Classic.

Thanks again, Dave.  You know where to find us.   Have fun on your vaca and “don’t forget to write!”

I have rounds from goldismoney.com — from their before site.  Members designed and minted the rounds.  It was great fun.

      Token of membership

If “we” are melting down bars, how about minting some one ounce rounds, a gift to members for renewing subscriptions, say, or rewards for writing a column?!  Guest speakers might deserve a round or two.  We’d need a design contest for the obverse?

      Silver eagle

Thanks for the report Dave, and for being up so early!!  You noted that

    Silver eagle coin

Silver is in a downtrend in all three timeframes.

Meanwhile I head over to Apmex to buy myself an eagle in this downtrend and I see this:

    silver eagle price chart

Alrighty, an eagle will cost me $ 36-37 an ounce.  Of course, this is not a bar, and it is an eagle, so higher premiums are expected.  The issue here is, Apmex doesn’t have any one-ounce bars for sale.

    ZERO: https://www.apmex.com/category/25625/1-oz-silver-bars

    ZERO ten ounce bars

    ZERO one hundred ounce bars

    Have a wonderful day.

UK people really support lockdowns overwhelmingly ??

…with polls routinely showing vehement support for lockdown and other pandemic rules…

According to polls, the Brits are fine with waiting years for the rest of the world to catch up with vaccines and if that means they tank their economy, so be it.  “Only 12% of people think too much fuss is being made about coronavirus.”
