Ivermectin is effective for COVID-19: Dominican Republic

Dominican Today: Dr. Erasmo Vásquez calls for caution with COVID vaccines in the Dominican Republic; recommends ivermectin

    https://dominicantoday.com/dr/covid-19/2021/01/25/dr-erasmo-vasquez-calls-for-caution-with-covid-vaccines-in-the-dominican-republic-recommends-ivermectin/

Vásquez assured that the generality of doctors, health workers, and related professionals are doing prophylaxis with the drug.

“What happens is that this clashes with great interests of the world pharmacological empires, if ivermectin takes the boom and positions itself as the combat drug at this time, against Covid-19, remdesivir, which is very expensive, falls, lopinavir falls, ritonavir falls and tocilizumab and all the immune drugs used in this case and which are very expensive fall, ” he said.

“In the case of Covid-19, studies are conclusively showing that ivermectin positively impacts the management of the Covid-19 pandemic, and I think that is giving us a protective coverage us as a nation, which is not happening in the United States and Europe, but they have already realized it and are going to start doing what we are doing,” he argued.

Dominican Republic has population of 10.7 million, 214,060 total cases and 2,666 fatalities as per today 1/31/2021. They are partying on the beaches.

      Sweden: Carlson & Hallengren

    Hello @Admin of PP.

I am sorry to mess the discussion and misuse this topic, but I started a new topic on the use of heparin in Finland some two weeks ago. Somebody even wrote a long nice comment to it almost immediately. I was then correcting spelling and your blog engine marked it as spam and it just disappeared. I wrote messages to two different admin (@adamadmin and @admin1, if I remember). No answers. Could you bring it back please?

    Hej nyhetersverige!

Greetings from Finland! Our numbers are better for now. Social distancing has been in the genes of the Finns for centuries. Producers also add vitamin D into foodstuff, such as milk, for us. I think Sweden does that also.

Ivermectin is available via prescription in Finland. In December it was not moving at all from the pharmacies, but in mid-January all was sold out half way to Lapland. Maybe now all the way. Next batch is supposed to come during week 7.

Officials or the national media are not talking about Ivermectin at all and the media seem to be actively removing all article comments about it.

Surprisingly the main newspaper Helsingin Sanomat published a whole page article on colchicine and the Canadian study earlier this week.

Tutkimus: Vanha kihtilääke kolkisiini näyttää estävän koronataudin pahenemista

    https://www.hs.fi/tiede/art-2000007767109.html

The things that have taken place in Europe during this week have been formal announcements of Ivermectin use in North Macedonia and Slovakia.

Keep pushing and hang in there Nyhetersverige!

Thank you @agitating prop for a good question and thank you @Baldness for the perfect study to address it. That pretty much nailed it.

Reply To: COVID-19: The Ivermectin African Enigma

    @dhakapapa and others…

Thank you for the post. I thought that all of you here follow the Ivermectin is effective for COVID-19: meta analysis.

    https://ivmmeta.com/

Alam et al., European Journal of Medical and Health Sciences, Ivermectin as Pre-exposure Prophylaxis for COVID-19 among Healthcare Providers in a Selected Tertiary Hospital in Dhaka – An Observational Study has been duly added as it came out.

Sorry about that. The meta analysis is so good maybe I start a new thread on that… Let’s try to focus this thread on Africa – if anyone would have any additional information on the African situation or circumstances.

      COVID-19: The Ivermectin African Enigma

Thank you for the notes @Joegrane.

Your copy-paste is of course correct. Their results summary wording seems to be a bit misleading. Maybe it is a translation issue.

Raw numbers from their Table 1:

APOC cases 407 per million and deaths 7.8 per million.

Non-APOC cases 2,453 per million and deaths 62 per million.

They do some adjustments, but their raw data would imply that improvement in number of cases would be some 6 times and in mortality some 8 times.

Second ‘key’ used by the SARS-CoV-2

Thank you @tbp for looking into it! Very good points and comments!
