Novel with 3 E’s and PP community input

Got it! (from Amazon)  I had grown weary of the apocalyptic novels I had been reading.   This sounds exciting, will start on it tonight, and will review when done.  Thanks!

      Very cool

I had never used it before, the new one looks great, though a lot of the widgets returned “Error retreiving data”, it may be due to using a VPN that exits in EMEA.  I will try it some time after disconnecting from the VPN.

    Stu,

Good question.  I am doing the paperwork to start a rollover self-directed IRA.  However, I do have some of the same thoughts as you.  Forget the rollover, just pull it out and pay the penalty and taxes.

The self-directed IRA could be invested in tangibles.  However, my level of trust is at zero and I don’t believe the government is above "fooling" with retirement accounts.  After all, it was their idea initially.

I am in the same process of rolling my IRA into a self directed.   I will be investing in tangibles, but no longer contributing to it.  Also reduced my 401(k) to employer match and using the rest to buy physical PMs.

Also moved a chunk of JPMC cash to Everbank.  Convinced family members to at least spread their cash around to safer places – can’t convince them of much else at the moment … <sigh>

… and relieved all banks of a significant chunk of ready cash.

    My brand of diversification 😉

    Sam,

Judging from your posts, I think you’d really enjoy reading Sharon Astyk’s blog, and reading her book, "Depletion & Abundance".

I am part way through that book now, I find it a great comfort, I gain a lot of equlibrium from it.

… and it is all so surreal. A lyric from Pink Floyd now runs through my mind "is anybody out there."

You gave me my chuckle for the morning – I have been pondering some of the songs from "Momentary Lapse of Reason"… only the moment is going to be VERY long.

OMG!   Listening to that kid play reminded me of  Leo Kottke (google him), a freakin guitar maniac in his own right.  Leo is middle aged and has done nothing else his whole life, and this kid is ALMOST as good.   Yow.

    Thanks!

…but very few of us know people that see the world the way "we" do.  Most of my friends think I’m from another world any time that I even mention some of my views for the future and I imagine  that is the same for MANY of the people who are readers of this forum.

Oh so true.   Every time I get the urge to share this with someone I
know locally, I am pretty sure they will think I sound like Rod
Serling. However, I have added a reference to this site in my email
    signature.

Thinking about a bumper sticker that says something like:

Ask me about The End of Money

    🙂
