I came across this video: street vendors selling Artemisia in South Africa against covid:
The fact remains that the US has been deeply involved in GOF research.
Another fact remains that she has ties to Steve Bannon, who loves nothing more than instigating tensions with China.
It seems the link did not work:
Chris, I think your presentation of yesterday was awesome!
In the Netherlands, the government and the local CDC (RIVM) have screwed up so many times, and covered up or hid new evidence that trust is wearing quite thin.
Some anecdotes about our 4th turning:
Our draconian, always lecturing and preaching interior minister Grapperhaus recently married, and of course, being a special person, did not follow social distancing rules during his wedding. Pictures were leaked, became viral, but he is still in his position. The standard response when cops now interfere in parties etc. and give out tickets: my name? My name is Grapperhaus! Only massive violations are now being prosecuted…
Yesterday a new social media phenomenon popped up: ‘ik doe niet meer mee!’ (I stop engaging…) Before, mostly tin foil hat people (‘there is no virus’, 5 G, etc.) ‘Wappies’, in Dutch slang….
But these people (young social media influencers and some local celebreties) are definitely no intellectual or informed role models, but are prove to be flexible and able to engage in debate.
They will most probably be blocked, ridiculed or demonized. But after their yesterday’s presentation, I am (partly, conservatively) with them!
Being stuck: that will be the feeling of very many of our fellow human beings.
I make a list of projects and tasks to be completed each day, without being rigid.
After I retired in January, I first had a few AHAH!!! months: No boss and obligations anymore, and even 200$$ more to spend. Many very old malfunctioning or useless stuff removed and recycled.
But in June, the epidemic and personal obligations made me realize that all my projects were stagnating. (and I gained 15 Kg in 6 months!) So I realized that for new retirees, discipline is very important!
OK, I got really well educated about epidemiology, immunology, etc. and got very sharp about my biology background. I still garden quite well and my social contacts are fine. I grow Artemisia for a research experiment, and hope to harvest many seeds for next year’s project.
Many setbacks for all of us! We can try to be aware, but still; hardly anybody gets through this without some serious damage!
Enjoy and respect!
Glitch….: All the elderberries within bicycle distance, I had stripped of flowers within reach.
Now of course, it is really hard to find berries! Only half a bucket harvested in one afternoon! It is a common shrub, but now I really have to go the distance! Locating an elderberry in bloom is very easy, but one with berries not that much.
Instead of a few hours planned, this will take a full week!
My advice to my millenial daughters (who are US citizens): don’t vote, or vote 3rd party!
But my oldest is science teacher, and my youngest works in health care. Of course they will vote for Biden, as it probably means a slightly bigger chance of job security.
I think the CDC people think similarly.
