Reply To: Silver Squeeze: Is this the BIG ONE?

Anyone here looking at Platinum as well? Gold seems to be the least popular metal – is this because it lacks industrial use?

Does gold have any real intrinsic value or is it just a shiny yellow rock?

      MicroStrategy Doubles Down

Saylor is a BTC evangelical. And he makes a great case. However PP and their Peak Oil theory (3 E’s really) means the BTC risks (internet access, power/energy supply) are perhaps higher than Saylor is aware of. Isn’t BTC very vulnerable to a sun flare, a drastic rise in energy prices and/or internet access or local power outages?

Bitcoin Wall of Money. Raoul Pal: $1 Million in 5 years

If BTC goes to $1 million, a farm will be way more expensive than $500,000. I imagine many variables will change in that future where BTC is that high, and not for the greater good.

The HIV/AIDS debate (Is the HIV science solid?)

I researched this quite a bit in the 90’s in grad school (Epidemiology at NY Medical College). I’m convinced HIV does not cause AIDS, and there were many AIDS cases w/out HIV (idiopathic CD4 Lymphocytemia I believe) and the high risk groups only had infections – it never exploded into the mainstream the way it was predicted.

      Home Prices Up 18%

wow great answer many thanks. So its going to be as volatile as the stock market it seems. This is an era of increased volatility then right? I assume overall its good to get out of dollars and into real property?

Also – is land a safer option versus a house and land? I feel land is a safer bet, slightly less liquid but more secure?
