Has anyone here ever looked at charts of Gold priced in BTC? Which asset has the better outlook going forward?

PAYPAL Has Joined the BITCOIN MOVEMENT

Imagine thinking Banksters control bitcoin. They don’t even understand bitcoin. They’re scrambling just to try to get their foot in the door to bitcoin. They have no idea what they’re doing. Hanlon’s Razor is appropriate here.

Just my humble opinion, but I see these quantum coins and all other cryptocurrencies for that matter, as merely people being envious of the bitcoin early adopters. “If Quantum computing breaks SHA-256 we’ll be the first ones to adopt the next big thing”! But that is a paradox because there will always be the next next big thing that people will want to jump to.

Bitcoin as an absolutely scarce money was a on-time path dependent discovery. There is no next big thing if Bitcoin fails. If bitcoin fails, trust in all cryptocurrencies will be lost and they all die. But you gold bugs would like that wouldn’t you 😉

What good is a quantum-proof coin though if it can’t survive the pre-quantum environment? That shit is going to get attacked to death if it even comes close to threatening Bitcoin.

Edit- Oh I see you aren’t even thinking of this as competition to Bitcoin. It’s literally a pump and dump scheme for you. Well OK then, carry on.

Well thanks for making me and my Bitcoin evangelism feel welcome.

But oh god, you’re heavily invested in a shitcoin?! For fuck sake Dave….

I’ll bite. What coin? You seem like a stablecoin guy to me.

I will probably be banned for my bitcoin posting, but I am extremely grateful for Chris Martinson’s videos early this year and I want to pay it forward to the people on this forum. Please start stacking sats ASAP. Bitcoin will dematerialize precious metals. All of gold’s 10 trillion market cap is merely latent market cap for bitcoin. Do not underestimate this.

Even if you don’t share my extreme views, I urge you all to continue to look into bitcoin. Don’t dismiss. Get off zero NOW. Take care everyone :).

lmao what is that guy’s deal with mining to advance science? This is a troll right?

Mr. Science Miner are you being sincere? you’ve made half a dozen posts or more about the exact same thing.

Why an Accidental Billionaire Bought Bitcoin

Dave just make sure YOU understand what the code actually does. You can personally choose to take your bitcoin to whichever chain you deem the “real” bitcoin. It is your individual choice, you just have to run a full node. Your bitcoin can’t just float away to the wrong chain like you are insinuating.

Also, imagine a inefficient top down organization like the CCP developing a quantum and keeping it secret from bitcoiners. We are growing exponentially and getting stronger. We may be at peak nation-state power right now, but it won’t last past this next bull run :).

    davefairtax,

Ok, I see what you mean by partition now. You are smart to consider many hypothetical scenarios here(including world war!),  but multi-player prisoner’s dilemmas just don’t play out like that in reality. Remember the game theory here acts on the individual level, and Bitcoin is for individuals. “What if a large enough group of people get together and decide to X” can seem strong on the surface for any number of scenarios, but I think you are wrong to ignore the game theoretic implications here.

Also I’m not sure how some of the world would be cut off anyway. If this happened today, maybe. But going forward it becomes less of a concern. You don’t need the internet to transact in bitcoin. Satellite networks, mesh networks, lots of work being done in these areas.

So I don’t see this argument as very strong at all. I will concede I still can’t really wrap my head around all the quantum stuff though.
