LaFanze & Futuo are exactly right. Facebook and other social networking sites will be instrumental in spreading the word to otherwise untapped audiences. Many people on Facebook have never heard about PeakProsperity.com or the Crash Course and with enough synergy, a Facebook presence opens up the message to an entirely new community of people. This is also why we have chosen to have a YouTube presence. Social Networking sites are a powerful tool for marketing and connecting and they have been tapped by groups including corporations, bands, community outreach organizations, non-profits, politicians, and many others. We feel that utilizing Web 2.0 tools can only benefit our cause and we are pleased to have volunteers like Kevin and Christopher on our team to make it happen.
If you would like to participate, go to the "Community" tab and learn how to sign up for the Martenson Brigade.

I am working on trying to get an "external links" panel on the main page that has links to the Facebook page, YouTube channel, and anything else we come up with. I plan to propose it to Erik soon and hopefully it will be something Chris finds wortwhile.
That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Great job. These are perfect.
Keep posting them as a reply to this thread.
Thanks very much.
Thanks for the info. This post actually belongs as a new thread in the General Discussions folder. Please move it.
It will probably get more hits that way, too.
I would like to have them within the next day or so, but whatever your schedule allows.
My plan is to upload Chapters 1 – 19 soon. It is MUCH easier to include the descriptions during the upload, so if you think you can get them done relatively soon, I’ll wait to upload them.
The descriptions only need to be 2 – 3 sentences giving a brief summary of the course designed to attract a potential viewer’s attention. Look that the description for Chapter 19 at http://www.youtube.com/ChrisMartensondotcom for an example.
If for any reason you need the YouTube raws, let me know and I will give you access to our FTP server.
I also just want to add that I’m very impressed with your initiative. We are grateful to have you on the team!

Futuo and all,
I actually have the uploading taken care of. Turns out I can "bulk" upload to YouTube so I am able to do it relatively quickly.
What I still need is someone to write up the descriptions. I don’t want to take you away from the Facebook project, but you seem to be a pretty good writer. Let me know if you wanna take a crack at it…
As discussed, I think it would be an excellent idea to post screen-shots of the Crash Course in the photos section of the Facebook page.
Is anyone willing to take screen captures from key slides in the Crash Course for posting on Facebook? The best way to do this would be to do it right from the browser and then crop with photo editing software.
If someone would like to step up to the plate on this, please reply to this post stating your interest.
Great work guys.
This is great! I love the intro (with Kevin’s edits). You guys are doing a phenomenal job.
Promotion: I think Kevin’s promo plan is good. Let’s ensure that we move in that direction. Can someone be in charge of ensuring that we address all 3 phases that Kevin suggests?
As for your 3 additional points:
1. I think a link-back to Chris’ blog post is a good idea. Also, is Facebook like MySpace in that you can post blog entries or "bulletins" directly on your profile? If so, we could actually copy and paste the Daily Digests and/or Blogs to the Facebook site.
2. Tracking membership growth is a great idea. Someone would have to be responsible for manually updating it from time to time though…
3. I like the idea of "mapping" some of the sections of PeakProsperity.com in a link-bank. Make sure "Community" is linked there as well as the DVD Order page.
We also want to direct people to the YouTube site as well.
Also, I see a place for photos and videos. I have raws for the YouTube versions of the Crash Course that we might be able to post to the Facebook page as well. In addition, I don’t think it would be a bad idea to take high-res screens of key slides (exponential curves, bubbles, etc) from the Crash Course and post them in the photos section with descriptions.
Anyway, this is excellent work. Good job guys.
Great work Dale. How is Friend Feed best utilized by others? What ways can we start to promote this? Can we integrate it into CM.com somehow?
There seems like a lot of room for synergy here…
