When can we declare the XYZ hypothesis no longer valid?
It’s looking like a 2nd wave a la 1918 is more likely than the XYZ hypothesis. Deaths are rising but not as dramatically as cases.
This ties in nicely to light levels too. Those have changed dramatically – much more so then lower temps the media keeps harping about.
Of course this makes me think of Oryx and Crake. Margaret Atwood, right again.
In addition to bitcoin being problematic when the power goes out, it is also a huge consumer of power.
Of course we have an oil glut ATM, but when we try to power back up there are going to be hiccups. I don’t want any wealth to be reliant on a fragile grid. Powering down is going to shine a spot light on huge consumers of power and we are going to need that power to produce real things.
What are you growing? You can get nitrogen into the soil lots of ways. A quick and easy way is to mow the lawn and then use the grass clippings to mulch your veggies.
Compost is another way. Top dress with a heaping scoop of compost.
Comfrey is a great plant to bring up nutrients and acts as a living mulch – particularly good around trees.
Speaking of trees, the native to NE Black locust is a great nitrogen fixer. Others that have fruits are seaberry, goumi, goji, Siberrian pea shrub
I’ve been also estimating when Texas would jump ahead of the various states that had more cases. Ultimately, it’ll sort out by population so Texas will be #2 and CA will be #1. Unless the pig headedness leads it to jump infront of CA but that’s a long way off. And even with 5000 new cases per day, with deaths still so few, they will wait till the hospitals are overwhelmed before mandating masks.
I’m much more interested in when CA overtakes NY! My best guess is 7/30.
My daughter told me I have a morbid hobby, watching these numbers. Look like I’m not the only one.
Meanwhile, no new cases or deaths reported since 6/18? The five days prior all had more than 1000 new cases.
This looks pretty ominous to me.
And of course they did not use zinc.
Is this whole series archived somewhere? Also, is PP looking into alternate platforms?
“Is the New York ACLU asleep? One out of ten was armed or transporting drugs and probably both! Worse, in New York City. 68,500 arrests in two neighborhoods! Those stats sound like they were collected in a Mexican border city.”
Transporting drugs can mean many things including a little cannabis – who cares. Maybe they lumped “drugs” and weapons together to obscure how few actually had guns.
I would consider it a very big deal if I were shoved up against a wall and frisked.
