I am in the UK and can’t get Durvet here, when I looked at what was available Bimectin seemed closest. The box doesn’t say where it’s manufactured but that it is packaged in Wales by Bimeda, when I checked the website I found they had a manufacturing plant in Ireland which makes parasitides as does a plant in Brazil. China manufactures sterile injections. Other plants make different items so it will be difficult to know which one your Durvet comes from. I would guess my Bimectin will be from Ireland then packaged in North Wales which is where the ferry crossing to Ireland is.
In an effort to be fair, it looks like they are applying this definition only to Covid, which seems not to confer immunity by catching it. It would be different if they meant it to apply to all disease. That’s the way I’m reading it.
Thanks dadzcats, I have the same problems and agree that it works very differently to other sites.
Thanks for all that info, my paste expiry date is also 2022 so good to know it should remain viable once opened, saves me buying a load more.
Thanks Jim H, new here and keep forgetting to check the notify me of reply box then can’ refind my post – Duh. Will take a look.
Are people saving the dosages left in the syringe despite it saying to discard any remaining? I don’tlike to waste it but if it becomes ineffective………..?
I have just received my order of horse paste and the package states that once the required amount has been given the remainder should be disposed of (not saved for further use). Does anyone know if this is just to get you to buy more or does it have no shelf life once opened. Having only one small horse I thought I had enough but if this doesn’t keep I’m going to be wasting lots and ordering much more. What do others do please?
Many thanks for all of the information to be found here. My horse paste has just arrived and as I only have one small horse I thought I would get a few doses out of one tube, but it says they are one dose only and any remaining in the tube should be discarded. Is this a away of making you buy more or does it “go off” once opened like some stuff does? Has anyone here kept an open tube for a few days then used it to no ill effect?
Hello, I’m Merseyside but posting here ‘cos it seems to be the only active UK forum. Can’t help with financial planner as I have no finance to plan but I grow lots of my own food and am pretty well up with some of the other Crash Course stuff. I’ve been aware of PP since 2008 but only just registered. I thought it would be good to find some like minded people locally but we seem a bit thin on the ground.
