With renewed economic slowdown, resurgent banking crises around the globe, and increasing financial market turbulence, August has been a busy month. Media requests for Chris’ insights have picked up and I thought I’d share some of the more recent ones here for those who have yet to see them.

These four provide a good update on where Chris sees us on the timeline of developments put forth by the Crash Course

    Financial Sense Newshour

Here’s an interview between Chris and Jim Puplava on August 9th. In it, Chris makes the case we’re heading into another fiscal crisis which risks sparking a larger monetary crisis, and explains why he sees higher gold prices ahead (NB: while gold did surge nearly $300/oz after this interview, he was taking a longer term view)

With the launch of the new book, Chris has been busy delivering the Three E message to a media slowly awakening to the severity of our predicament. Recent world developments (spiking silver/gold/oil/food prices, a plummeting US dollar, renewed PIIGS debt concerns, MENA unrest, and Japan’s woes, to name just a few) are sobering signals that we are far into the timeline that the Crash Course has predicted.

I thought I’d compile some of Chris’ more recent and notable media appearances for those who may not have seen them yet.

    BNN

This morning, BNN – Canada’s Business News Network – aired this interview with Chris discussing the implications of the coming energy crunch (click image to launch the video):

Chris was recently interviewed by Max Keiser for his On The Edge program. The videos of this discussion were released over the weekend and are available for viewing below.

The interview starts with a look at the extreme debt levels of OECD nations and the probable (and painful) repercussions they will have for the global economy. Chris spends time explaining the contradiction of how, even though we’re now ‘technically’ experiencing deflation as this debt is being unwound, prices are rising – due to growing loss of faith in the underlying fiat currencies.
