Given all the coronavirus coverage, we decided to give you 48 extra hours

As we were closing down for the night, we suddenly realized that today (Friday, Jan 31) is supposed to be the deadline for the Early Bird price discount to our May seminar.

We feel badly that we didn’t have the bandwidth to remind you all more prominently of that, given our daily scramble to produce updates on the viral outbreak.

So, we’re going to extend the deadline to midnight PT this Sunday, Feb 2. That gives you the next 48 hours to register and lock in the discounted price — which is quite substantial; it’s 38% lower than the general admission price.

One of the most frequent questions we get from people working to become more resilient is: Is there a better place I should move to?

    Answering this question isn’t simple.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve locked Peter Boghossian in as a featured speaker at the Peak Prosperity annual seminar on May 1-3, 2020 in Sebastopol, CA this year.

He joins Bruce Bueno de Mesquita, creator of the “rules for rulers” (whom we announced last week also recently signed on as a presenter) and the amazing line-up of Mike Maloney, Charles Hugh Smith, Wolf Richter, Axel Merk, John Rubino, Richard Heinberg, Jeff Clark, and Joe Stumpf.

The programming for this year’s seminar just gets better and better with each passing week. It’s easily going to be our best ever.

And we still have 2 more big names to announce in the coming days…

The excitement continues to build for the upcoming Peak Prosperity seminar, to be held May 1-3, 2020 in Sebastopol California.

As always, alumni from previous seminars get to register first. Right now, they’re doing so at a faster rate than we’ve ever seen.

At this rate, the event is on track to sell out soon after we open it to the general public in two weeks. So if you’re interested in attending this year, register early. We’ll show you how.

Here’s an update from the front lines.  Thanks to your continued support, Adam and I are able to carry the Peak Prosperity message out to an ever-increasing audience of both size and influence.

One of the recent trends has been to present at wealth conferences, where an assortment of big money managers converge to share ideas, shake hands with old friends and meet new people.

I’m just leaving the Opal Wealth Conference recently held at Laguna Beach CA. Here's what I learned.

For the past several years, Chris has spoken at the Association for the Study of Peak Oil – USA (ASPO-USA) annual conference in Washington, DC. This year is no exception; he’ll be there along with many of today’s top Peak Oil experts.

This is billed as the nation’s ‘Peak Oil networking event and forum.’ For those looking to learn exactly where we are on the Peak Oil timeline and what future implications are most likely when, this is the best place to get informed. Related topics extend to investment, transportation, food, and renewable energy.

There are three days of keynotes, panels, roundtables, and social events where you can listen to and mingle with an august coterie of experts, including the likes of Richard Heinberg, Dmitry Orlov, Jeff Rubin, editors from The Oil Drum, U.S. Congress representatives, many others — and Chris, of course!

Chris will be participating in the following tracks:

    Transition Towns Conference Files

    by Chris Martenson

I had a great time presenting to the Transition Towns international conference on May 25 and 27th, 2009.  I did this by Webex, meaning I was in my office in the US while being projected on a screen with audio in the UK.  I thought the technology worked extremely well, and I would consider using it again in the future.

I promised that I’d make the files used in my presentations freely available for downloading.  They are attached below.

As a reminder, Saturday was a high-level review of the main concepts in the Crash Course, plus a description of the difference between a problem and a predicament.

Monday included a review of the similarities and differences between the US and the UK that exist in the Crash Course.

To access the files, open this blog post by clicking on the link in the title, and then click on the file(s) you are interested in.

    Best,
    Chris
