Thanks for the updates.  While you certainly had harsher conditions than we had, southeast Virginia has been whacked with almost two weeks of overnight hard freezes.  That is very atypical for our area – we might drop below freezing at night, but the next day typically warms up to the 40s.  We have been stuck in a range from 28-34 degrees the past two weeks.

Cat and I are still assessing the damage but I think we are going to lose most of our winter garden plantings.  We are optimistic (hopeful) that some of our Chinese cabbage made it, but they are looking pretty haggard right now.  I think the broccoli, lettuce, chard, cauliflower and brussels sprouts are destined for the compost pile.

Time to get busy with the indoor plantings to get ready for the Spring planting.
