Thanks for the links. I will check them out. Even if it is another zone, I am sure there will be some educational value.
I am in North Texas on the border of zones 7 and 8.
I planted some fig trees last year as well. I have fond memories of my grandmother’s fig preserves.
I have been playing catch-up here as I put out my tomato and pepper seedlings just in time for a later than normal freeze. I lost half the tomatoes and all the peppers. Next year I will try and bridle my enthusiasm a bit and wait a couple more weeks.
