    Re: Social Collapse Best Practices

Hi Chris,

I was up in the north of Hungary this sunday with my laptop with a small group of 15 people discussing transitioning. I met up with 3 English speakers there and sat them down to read Orlovs transcript that I saved to hard-drive. They laughed in all the right places and were gifted enough to translate quite a good portion of it to the rest of the group. He has the kind of dark irony that translates beautifully into Magyar!!

It’s these diamonds in amongst the coal on CM.com that act as such good ice-breakers with groups that have a thirst for knowledge, especially when dealing with cultural differences here.

Another incidental has been how to describe with care exactly what the next 6 to 9 months here are going to be like. My partner (Hungarian native speaker) has developed Chris Martensons chapter 20 reference to ‘Pascal’s Wager’. Quite a topical thing for her with its religious bent. I’ll link Wikipedia to it here :-

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pascal's_Wager

…a great many of the foundation stones to transition towns here lean more toward a religious centre. The picture of things to come?

egészségedre!

Paul
