Doug,

Miricles can happen 😉

Ready and Davos,

Some preparing transcendes time, contemporary issues, “Disaster of the Day” scares and returns us to our base.
It’s gratifying in a way that has to be felt to be understood. It just enriches your life knowing you’re not reliant on anyone you don’t want to be reliant on.
You two really summed it up!

Keelba,

And Argentina had the luxurious advantage of being pieced out by Foreign Economic investment vultures who swooped in to take it over. That nation recovered entirely on investment dollars, mostly from the U.K., which is ironic. Why fight in the Falklands, when you can collapse and buy a nation?

If/When the U.S. economic system collapses, there is no one left in the world with big enough lungs to get us breathing again.

EGP,

I couldn’t agree more. Nothing I’ve invested in has been a waste.
Every investment from Ammunition to Silver has appreciated. Even the building material is more expensive now.
Monetary value aside, these things have the added advantage of being utilitarian! We’re turning dollars into useful, tangible assets.

What could be wrong with that?

This is a good discussion!
Cheers!
