Re: Gerald Celente says US to collapse this year
We seem to be on the same “CIA, Black Budget” etheric page, Machinehead. All good thoughts about the value of community, both online and off. I think some people have the idea that affinity groups and by extension, communities, should function along the same line as turn of the century Utopian collectives. Being online, gives people the opportunity to flex the muscle of tolerance, while providing the opportunity to define who they are and how they feel, using the scaffolding of other’s opinions. A community that becomes too obsessively policed by it’s own members removes it’s own scaffolding. People almost literally drop out, drop off.
Celente is a delightful. I’ve been following him for over a year. His message, rather than being bleak, is seeded with hope. He is a big promoter of ‘America First’ purchasing habits, has great faith in Yankee ‘can do’ mentality. He thinks a collapse and restructuring would provide an opportunity for Americans to start building products that would last a life time. His common sense is truly radical!
