    REPLAY VIDEO: Coronavirus/Market-Mayhem Q&A Webinar #4

Watch Chris & Adam field *more* questions from PP subscribers

    Here’s the replay video of Friday’s “Ask Anything” Coronavirus/Market-Meltdown Q&A webinar #3.

Why is this restricted to Peak Prosperity’s premium subscribers? Two main reasons:

One — we expect a number of our answers to be our ‘best guesses’ given the incomplete data available. We don’t feel it appropriate to put that kind of speculation out into the public domain.

And Two — one of the many benefits of premium membership is closer access to the experts on this site.

If you’re not yet a premium member but would like becoming one and watch the webinar, click here to subscribe.

And if you choose not to enroll, that’s completely fine. We’ll still continue producing our free daily videos/etc for as long as these twin crises remain fluid.

    cheers,

    Adam & Chris

    The Beginning Of The End

    Get ready for massive inflation
    by Adam Taggart

    101

After so much time cautioning about and preparing for the end of the Everything Bubble, it feels otherworldly to be finally confronted with the actual end of “what was.”

It’s really here. This isn’t a dress rehearsal. The curtain has gone up and the show has started.

I find myself alternating between excitement and deep anxiety. Maybe several times in the same hour.

Excitement because this is a historic moment, one that offers us all a chance to reform things for the better. Deep anxiety because there are some very dark outcomes that are open possibilities.

I’m mainly writing today to warn you of the all-too-likely… (Enroll now to continue reading)

    SARS-COV-2: Intense Economic Damage

    by Chris Martenson

    Thursday, March 5, 2020, 5:54 AM

    67

An economic &/or financial crash is not only possible, but is expected to be far larger than the 2008 crisis.  Economic impacts are piling up too fast to be properly analyzed.  So in this report we go into the one key factor out of them all that we watch most closely for clues to what’s coming up next.

Be ready for shortages and the possibility of market closures, banking holidays and things like that.  While not very probable, the possibility of such things is now well above zero.

    Shortages and Breakdowns

    Window for preparing is closing
    by Chris Martenson

    Saturday, February 29, 2020, 12:12 PM

    121

It’s not the fall that hurts, it’s suddenly stopping.  In December 2019 the entire world, just-in-time global economy was humming along, a month later it metaphorically ran into a brick wall.

A stop so sudden that nobody has any clue how badly the system was harmed.  Because it’s a complex system it also means that nobody can predict any of the actual consequences.

Apple’s manufacturing process is complicated.  Apple’s supply chain from raw sand to finished phone is complex.  Things that are complicated can be modeled and resolved.  Things that are complex cannot.

Off The Cuff: The End Of China’s Exceptionalism?

The impact of the coronavirus strikes at China's Achilles heel
    by Adam Taggart

    Friday, February 28, 2020, 10:05 AM

    22

Beneath its facade as a rising superpower, the social contract within China has been deteriorating. And now with the covid-19 virus dealing a 1-2 punch of a public health crisis and an economic crisis, the populace may be nearing a breaking point.

They have traded freedom and fair treatment in exchange for an ever-rising lifestyle. But now that the government can no longer guarantee continued prosperity, and may be responsible for thousands (or more?) deaths by initially denying the coronavirus crisis, will people remain tolerant of its authoritarianism?

Charles isn’t sure they will. He sees good potential for social revolt.

Why Your Friends & Family Aren’t Taking The Coronavirus Seriously Enough

    Under stress, emotion trumps logic
    by Chris Martenson

    Tuesday, February 25, 2020, 8:19 AM

Probably one of the most vexing things an obvious crisis like this coronavirus pandemic (well, obvious to you and us, at any rate) is all the people who refuse to face it.

They’ll exploit every possible psychological defense in their arsenal to resist discussing or even hearing about the crisis. They will ignore you. They will belittle you. They will try to subtly – or overtly – shame you for attempting to raise the issue with them.

Here’s why that happens and what you should do about it. First,… (Enroll now to continue reading)
