They say don't fight the Fed. Perhaps that's good advice, but it doesn't go nearly far enough.
Not when the entire modern world is collectively ignoring numerous bright, flashing warning lights and deluding itself about the chances that can-kicking will somehow, this time if never before, evade the laws of physics as well as the collective lessons of history.
To hold steady and true in these times requires constant vigilance against beliefs masquerading as conventional wisdom. We need to fend off bad ideas and outright propaganda brought to us courtesy of a web of self-interested profiteers. Daily, tiny course corrections are necessary part of life these days.
Every so often, however, a big recharge is helpful. A time and a place where you can let down your guard, be among friends, and talk openly about what is so plainly and painfully obvious to you – yet is almost never discussed in your daily life.
This brings us to the upcoming seminar at Rowe. I am inviting you to come and spend a weekend with myself, Adam, Becca, and a few dozen other like-minded people at the Rowe conference center March 15-17, 2013.
You will find it illuminating and invigorating, a place where reality can come out of hiding and stretch comfortably among friends.
The growing and intelligent virtual community at Peak Prosperity turns out to be very real and a true delight to meet in person. I am always thankful to have both led and participated in these weekend retreats, and you will be glad you came.
"This was my second Rowe conference with Chris, Becca, and Adam. In addition, having a reluctant spouse and being surrounded by generally closed-minded family and community, being among an enlightened and enthusiastic group provided me with a huge morale boost to keep me moving in the right direction." ~ Daniel
"Attending the Crash Course seminar was life-changing for me. I highly recommend attending the Crash Course or related seminars to anyone who is interested in learning about the changes that are currently unfolding around the world and how to adapt to them (even and especially those who think they already have all the information they need about this)." ~ Heather
"As to the Crash Course presentation recently delivered at Rowe, let me say I have been referring to it as perhaps the best workshop that I have ever attended. I really found the whole experience fantastic." ~ Mark
In this year's Peak Prosperity seminar, we'll be dealing with difficult subjects straight on, but always with a mind towards positive action, community-building, and the opportunities that now await. The two key words describing the main take-aways of this seminar are resilience and engagement.
In the seminar we will address these topics:
- Talking to (and living with) reluctant partners (friends, colleagues, and neighbors)
- Emotional barriers to action
- How our beliefs can be limiting or enhancing, and knowing which we are holding
- The six stages of awareness
- A full tour of the precise steps that Chris and Becca have taken at their homestead
- Hopes & Fears – an open discussion among friends about the future
- Creating community
- Developing your own resilience steps and checklists
- Financial steps you should consider –– we'll have one of our endorsed financial advisors on hand to address your questions
- Lots of time to pose whatever questions you have about resilience or the current state of the world

It's only 3 weeks away, so if you're planning on coming, register soon.
I really do hope to see you there. As always, it's going to be a great time, full of laughter and hope, even as we fully explore our various predicaments. Join us.
