BTC may leg down to 5.8k area again but this really does feel like more accumulation and/or defence by exchanges.  Do they still want to stop it going lower?

Part of me still thinks a mini rally could occur in October...  Lots of alt coins seem to have bullish divergences on the 2x daily.

I guess the Oct mini rally I suggested we could have is over.

BTC in 2017-2018 sure resembles the Silver bubble of 2011-2013...

I haven't been active on PP for quite awhile, but I still do listen to most every FV and logged in today to comment on one. Thought I'd take a look here and see what the activity is like since the January collapse.

It was truly an epic run in cryptos. The likes of which are unprecendented in modern financial history. I've been peripherally involved with Bitcoin since 2013, when my main business (easyDNS) started sponsoring the LetsTalkBitcoin podcast and we became the first ICANN domain registrar to accept bitcoin.

The crypto complex lost $25 billion overnight:

Bitcoin is back below $7,000. It has now lost 2/3 of its value compared to last December's high, and continues to follow the classic "popping bubble" curve:

Wow -- an UGLY day for the cryptocurrency space.

Most likely triggered by the news in recent days of Chinese and South Korean regulators' plans to enforce much stricter restraints over crypto trading and mining, all of the major coins have experienced painful losses over the course of the day, with many down over 20% in the last 24 hours:

The cryptocurrency space is on fire.

Across the board, Bitcoin and its digital currency brethren have experienced mind-boggling returns over 2017 -- making fortunes for those who invested in the space just a few short months ago.

Looking at Bitcoin alone, the ferocious pace of its rise has now surpassed that of the largest bubbles in recorded history:

Well it looks like the popular kids in bitcoin and blockchain tech has gone on to greener pastures. I've been away a while and came back to see nobody's home, and haven't been for quite a while by the looks of things around here.

    Queue the crickets.

I guess we'll see you in the future.

    Mark Rees

    Signing off.
