Searching one forum

How do you confine a switch to a specific forum?

Thanks,

Stan

Re: Searching one forum

Once you have opened the desired thread, press the [Ctrl]+[F] keys. In Firefox, this opens a search box at the bottom of the page - in Internet Explorer, it opens a separate search window/box. Type in the desired text and it will find all references to that text on that page. If a thread runs multiple pages, you will need to repeat this for each page.

Re: Searching one forum

Sounds as though Stan is looking to search within a forum, not within a thread.  If you want to search an entire forum, go to http://www.peakprosperity.com/search, open the "Advanced Search" expandable area, then scroll down in the list until you reach the "Forums" categories.  Select one or more sub-forums you would like to search along with your keywords.

Let me know if this helps.

Ron,

I defer to your expertise. However, even following your instructions I can only find a standard [Search] box - the same as appears at the top of the page. I would be interested in knowing how to "open the "Advanced Search" expandable area" that you say exists.

Sorry about that, you should be able to do so now.

Actually it had only been enabled for a subset of user groups, and I had forgot to enable the others.

green_achers,

The search box is in the upper right corner of every page on the site.  If you are looking for an advanced search, go to http://www.peakprosperity.com/search.
