The Real Reasons Behind Fed Secrecy by Ron Paul

From article..."If the Fed gave its actual arguments against a full audit, they would not have mentioned anything about political independence or economic stability. Instead they would admit they don't want to be audited because they enjoy their current situation too much. Under the guise of currency control, they are able to help out powerful allies on Wall Street, in exchange for lucrative jobs or who-knows-what favors later on."

Hey John99, another good article!  You've gotta love Ron Paul and his ability to communicate what he stands for and against, and his character in doing so.

He's my personal hero. Davos had a good piece about him in the daily digest - think it was today's, and worth a read. Peace j

Ron Paul

The only candidate running that knows what is really going on with our monetary system and what needs to been done to reverse it.

eatting bullets

How in the hell is this guy still breathing?! People get knocked off for saying a lot less than Dr. Paul has said in just the past few months.

Why hasn't Paul reintroduced this bill?

This thread was started in 2009! According to govtrack.us (great resource for citizens who want to keep an eye on Congress) --

This bill was proposed in a previous session of Congress. Sessions of Congress last two years, and at the end of each session all proposed bills and resolutions that haven't passed are cleared from the books. Members often reintroduce bills that did not come up for debate under a new number in the next session.

Paul now has a Congress run by one of his GOP confreres (John Boehner), What's the problem? Why hasn't he reintroduced this bill? What was the point to the 2010 election, if any?

Of course, Fed transparency is basic!
