Only Time The National Debt Deceased

Did you know that the only time in American history the national debt reversed was when President Andrew Jackson refused to renew the Central Bank Charter in 1832. The national debt at that time was near $1,000,000. Andrew Jackson's administration was able to reduce that down to $25,000 by 1836. Never since then has the national debt seen such a reversal, especially not after December 24th of 1913, when the Federal Reserve System was past in the early wee morning hours of Christmas Eve. Sources are from "National Debt History of the United States", and the book "Creature From Jekyll Island.
