More Trouble on the Horizon for Bernanke?

Poor Helicopter Ben just can't seem to get a break. What with QE I being a dud , forcing Round II; continuing economic deterioration; harsh criticism from at home and abroad; and now this:

Poetic justice?

If they try and deny Ron Paul the Charmanship, there will be a near revolt inside the Republican party with his followers.  It might almost be a good thing because it could wake people up to the fact that most Republicans are really not any better than the Democrats, and spark a third party movement unlike anything we have seen for 100 years.

If I were Ron Paul, I'd be quietly interviewing a private staff of security. The Fed won't allow Ron Paul to open their books.

You would hope he's too much in the spotlight for them to dare try anything. Then again, they don't worry about trying to hide much anymore, do they?

 http://www.businessinsider.com/a-deep-dive-into-the-mechanics-of-a-qe-transaction-2010-11

The flaw in this article I think.. is it ignores the issuance of new bonds.. acceleration of new debt creation..?

QE transactions by the FED alone may make little difference to base money.. new treasury issuance on the other hand.. will..

So.. the FED controls maturity (to some extent).. Treasury truly controls the base money.. by excess debt issuance or lack of... ?

 Who's accomodating who... ?? Co-dependency..

What about the purchase of *foreign* bonds though...

... or more exotic operations.. eg.. TIm: Benny..  increase Treasuries free overdraft an extra trillion willya.. no need for the T bill nonsense.. Benny: sure.. *wink*

If I were Ron Paul, I'd be quietly interviewing a private staff of security. The Fed won't allow Ron Paul to open their books.

 Which set ??

gawd this stuff is complicated... !!!

Come back tensor analysis.. all is forgiven !!
