hacked?

really?

You never know how much you miss something til it's gone. Welcome back. Were we really hacked? Although I realize that is never a good thing, I find it interesting that someone would even try....maybe someone feels threatened by big ideas being discussed?

I was wondering the same thing.  Sites like this are rare for a reason.

We're all good.  Wink  I'm still doing some investigation, but I think we've got everything cleaned up.

Re: hacked?

I am getting this IE pop up error when navigating the site:

"Stack overflow at Line 13"

Doesn't happen anywhere else. Anyone else seeing this?

Re: hacked?

It appears that Financial Sense Newshour was hacked too.  And Steven Leeb.  Am I just being paranoid or is that quite weird?

Re: hacked?

I got a virus/mal ware warning as the page was refreshing this am before it went down - also got the stack overflow message. Any idea if they were able to access user lists or other administrative files?

Sorry, my bad, I forgot to re-upload two files that were causing a little glitch specifically in IE.  Should be good now.

CB,

You said you got a virus/malware warning... do you have any information on what the warning message said?

All I can say is that if the feds have hacked the site, gotten our IDs, and intend to round us all up and put us into FEMA camps when TSHTF, I hope they put all of us Martensonians in the same slammer.  At least we'd have good company.  Smile

Re: hacked?

Dear Admin, the pop-up message had disappeared by the time I returned. If I recall it referred to a new variant (from the last week) of mal-ware. the pop-up referred to a web address "http://...." with a numeric string I didn't note. A scan of my computer brought up nothing. Sorry I didn't write it down.

Edit: here is the info - forgot I had visited the info page:

Re: hacked?

Thanks for the info CB, I appreciate it.  I've been doing a lot of investigation this evening and I think we've fixed all the issues.

Re: hacked?

Financial Sense got a trojan today... their site is down although it currently says a diff. msg. than it did earlier today. (It was Mish's or Financial Sense but I'm pretty sure it's FS) FS is still down.
