Finding local secure vault storage company in the Northwest

I am interested in multiple locations for storage of my precious metals. Out of the country, smaller amount locally with quick access and in the U.S. in a private vault . I have been having a little difficulty finding a secure local (like west coast secure private vault). Any suggestions or recommendations?

Also other ideas for secure storage other than bank safe deposit box etc.

Unfortunately, I can't help you on the West Coast, but I'd check places like Brinks and I'd also ask large dealers like Tulving, APMEX, and Gainesville Coins for recommendations. Between those three companies, I'm close to certain that one of them would be able to recommend a company close to you that is trusted. BTW, I wouldn't automatically write-off safety deposit boxes at banks. I remember hearing on a podcast that Chris Martenson keeps his PM in them. Just be sure and leave a note inside with your phone number and a request to call you before considering the box abandoned.

For those on the East Coast (I realize this isn't much help to the OP), Delaware Depository is awesome. Fortunately, I live in MD and they are only 2 hours away. They are a COMEX approved vault, so you can even use them to store and then trade your PM if they are COMEX approved items. The price is very reasonable and their service is outstanding.

Here's a link to their site: http://www.delawaredepository.com/bullion/allocated.asp

Hope that helps.

I would write them off.  This was discussed at length in the archives well over a year ago, IIRC.  In short, think theft, Patriot Act, and corrupt police forces for starters, each of which could be a factor either in isolation or in aggregate.

Private Vaults in western states

Private Vaults in western states; others in eastern states (I'm not sure how private the Delaware Depoitory is.  Privacy needs to be verfied for any such facility, but I believe the following to be private.  24/7 in Las Vegas is really private, as they take no names, no SSN or contact data. However, their advertising gives them a higher profile than I would like.)

Boise, Goldsilver.com, as noted above

Las Vegas, 24-7 Private Vaults, Las Vegas, 24/7 access,  http://www.24-7privatevaults.com/

Los ALtos, CA, http://www.losaltosvault.com/index.asp

Phoenix, Mountain Vault,  http://www.datamountaininc.com/home.html

Overseas

Panama, Best Saftey Boxes, http://www.bestsafetyboxes.com/index_en.html

Singapore, Certis CISCO Safe Boxes, http://www.certissecurity.com/safedeposit/index.php
