CiviL unrest in America!

Professor Michel Chossudovsky observed that the US Army 3rd Infantry's 1st Brigade Combat Team returned from Iraq some months ago. That information is extremely disturbing because such military unit "may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control",
according to official sources. Now, what scenario could possibly
require the operational deployment of said units on American soil?
Professor Chossudovsky puts forward an intriguing hypothesis that must
be borne in mind. He argues that "Civil unrest resulting from from
the financial meltdown is a distinct possibility, given the broad
impacts of financial collapse on lifelong savings, pension funds,
homeownership, etc
".

Re: CiviL unrest in America!

I don't think 3rd ID will be used that way.  That was my old unit.  It's one of the best heavy units, best officers, best equipment.  It uses tanks, bradleys, apaches/commanches.  It was the spearhead of the race to Baghdad.  It's not a foot soldier unit.  It's the equivalent of Rommel's Afrikakorps that Hitler sent to North Africa.  Those types of units are sent offshore so they don't fight their government.  They are the most competent officers, most professional, most aware of their constitutional oaths.  Rommel's unit was the best of the old Prussian army tradition.  It would've moved on Berlin to stop Hitler had it been on home turf.  Tyrants need to keep units like that busy fighting external wars.  That leaves a power vacuum for less professional thugs and police, security teams, black ops, and other praetorian type units to oppress the population.  We have seen that done since the 90's...delta force, seals, national guard, FBI HRT, SWAT, blackwater civilians are used to augment local police teams.  M1 tanks wouldn't be much help...unless the government literally plans to go to war and wipe us out.

Having said that, even 3rd ID has been sucked into the messy police work in Iraq, so perhaps it has been demoralized and corrupted and has lost its focus on professional mechanized warfighting.  But I'd still be more worried about the units I mentioned above than 3rd ID.

Re: CiviL unrest in America!

Perhaps the 3rd is being positioned to retake a United States held hostage by the ongoing financial terrorism of the World Central Bankers. The United States needs a fresh Constitutional Convention, which has to restore the monetary regulation power back to the Congress - the peoples' elected representatives. This is a serious and extremely complex business. Once the US Dollar fails, the World Bank will dictate terms for a global bailout, and this attack will be plain for all to see. To put it simply, Americans will have two choices: to reject the terms and stand by its liberty, or to surrender and lose many Constitutional freedoms that the honorable US military personnel have paid for in blood. The key question is, will Obama's forces be loyal to the Central Bankers, or the American people? Right now it looks like the American people continue to be betrayed as the grandchildrens and great-grandchildrens' treasury continues to be looted .   Will this generation surrender them to eternal indentured servitude and slavery under the whip of Central Bankers?  Let's hope and pray the US Military is watching this situation, and has a bailout plan to rid the world of financial terrorists, foreign and domestic, for good. To understand the history, read this book, if you can find it: "The Creature From Jekyll Island, A Second Look at the Federal Reserve" by G. Edward Griffin. Semper Fi.

Interesting
insight, thank you. Note the NY Times article today about drones. They
are being piloted remotely by National Guard troops, from bases in
Nevada and Arizona.

http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/17/business/17uav.html?hp

The Times article only mentions the use of drones over Iraq and
Afghanistan. Not a word is breathed about their increasing use for
border and domestic surveillance. So far as we know, no drone-launched
missiles have been used over North America. But that day is coming,
probably first in the Mexican drug wars. And then, if need be, to
surveil and suppress domestic insurrection.

According to the article, drone pilots are in such short supply that even officers are being trained to fly them [LOL!].
It will doubtless occur to our overlords to engage high-school
video-game aces for this task. Trained from childhood to regard video
kills as abstractions, they'll have few qualms about following orders
to launch a missile, whether the target is Kabul or Kalamazoo.
