Bankster fury over tax 'witch hunt'

Oh gawd, just got back from the convenience store, where I collapsed
to the floor in helpless laughter after reading the headline story in
the Financial Times. Banksters are shocked -- shocked -- at being the brunt of public wrath. Dig these priceless reactions --

Finance is one of America’s great industries, and they’re
destroying it,” said one bankster at a firm that has accepted public
money. “This happened out of haste and anger over AIG, but we’re not
like AIG.”

The bankster added: “It’s like a McCarthy witch-hunt...This is the most profoundly anti- American thing I’ve ever seen.”

Vikram Pandit, Citigroup’s chief executive, told employees in a memo
that some anger about executive compensation was “warranted”. But he
hit out against the idea of a special tax. “The work we have all done
to try to stabilise the financial system and to get this economy moving again would be significantly set back if we lose our
talented people
because Congress imposes a special tax on financial
services employees,” he wrote.

Ah ha ha ha ... if 'finance is one of America's great industries,' I'd sure hate to see the ones that suck patootie.

If a 90 percent tax will make the financial industry 'lose its
talented people,' would a 150 percent tax get rid of the hacks, frauds
and screw-ups, too?

Y'all don't let the back door whap you on your pimply arses on the way out ... LOSERS!
