Backwoods Living

Disclosure: I have no personal interest in this magazine. I thought that I'd share it as an information resource for folks that desire a post-peak lifestyle. Definitely 3 E's related.

This is an interesting resource that I think a lot of folks might be interested in

Oops. By "personal interest" I mean I have nothing to gain by promoting it.

As long as it's "living", right?

I have found this magazine to be very down to earth and liberatarian in philosophy.  I enjoy Jackie Clay's cooking expertise and Massad Ayoob's gun talk to superb IMHO.  I wish I had some property in the country to take advantage of their ideas, next year i plan.

Hey, Morpheus;

This is the same magazine that I just reviewed in the new Homesteading and Self-suffiency thread.  http://www.peakprosperity.com/forum/homesteading-and-self-sufficiency-thread/26485

Disturbed minds think alike . . . Wink

Re: Backwoods Living

 Here in our backwoods way of living  we spent the evening on the prairie  listening to local talent sing while we ate Buffalo burgers and beans on the Oregon trail .Afterwards a gal  preformed a re-enactment of life on the wagon train way west .  Sometimes it helps to stop and remember where our beginnings are from the sacrifices made  and how hard the life was .  Maybe  it puts the situation we  find ourselves  into a better perspective .

 Where did we come from , where do we go  ?

You don't need to tell me how hard it must have been, even with the benefit of a chainsaw, billy-goat, gasoline etc. I ache like an old man after 6 weeks of clearing brush, building an insulated platform and putting up a wall tent in Alaska, living in the backwoods.

Wow. They came up with a reversible engine with an efficiency exceeding 100%.

Nobel Prize, coming up.
