Any "Martenson Minded" People in Central Texas?

Are there any of you forum folks out there in central Texas?  I'm just north of Austin in Round Rock.

Mr. Fri - Not from Central Texas, but El Paso. Maybe you & I can get Chris to come to Texas - We'll be the two people taking up seats. Sometimes, I dream that property values in Texas collapse, yet somehow, we make out OK, and I can finally buy a little piece of river front land in the Hill Country. You think it could happen?

I wish I lived in the hill country, if that counts. I live south of Houston near Galveston. Not many signs of a recession here, but its very early in this economic downturn. How are things in the hill country?

Looks like so far I win the proximity contest - I am in Cedar Park.  Drop me an email (you don't have email contact turned on in your profile).

Yes, Scott is the winner. (As if living close to me is winning.Smile)

Gee, I hope there's more than 4 people from all of Texas on this forum.

I am sure there are - I got one other email from Doris who did not post here.   Maybe we can jump on the new community feature Chris has mentioned in the upcoming web site overhaul.  Otherwise an email group might be in order, eg Yahoo Groups, etc.

I'm out in the country between Waco and Lake Whitney next to the Brazos River.

How far are you from Waco?  I'll be up there tomorrow (at Baylor) if you're interested in getting together and talking for a little bit.

I'd love to, Mr. Fri. But right now I'm tied down with commitments. Please let me know ahead of time when you'll next be in the area and we'll plan to get together.

Hello everyone,  I have

Hello everyone,  I have been following the site for a couple of years now.  My wife and I have a place outside of San Antonio near New Braunfels, and Seguin.  I would be interested in connecting with other "Martenson Minded" people in this part of Texas.

Somervell County

I've been on the Frugal Squirrel forum for several years where I learned a lot, but am looking for a higher level of discourse perhaps without all the political talk. I've been growing food for a few years now, and this year's drought has me thinking rainwater capture.

I think I might win the proximity contest now -- I'm in East Austin. Glad to know y'all are here.
