Another Victim of America's Ponzi Scheme Economy

Meanwhile, working-class Americans have been left out of the picture. In fact, because there is a finite amount of wealth to divide, it’s clear that America’s wealthy elite and much of the developing world have seen their living standards increase at the expense of working-class Americans.

Rather than higher living standards for all, this proclamation of a “New Economy” has provided a smoke screen for more permissive free trade policies that continue to destroy working-class America, while enriching corporations and workers from developing nations. It’s been socialism for corporations and developing nations at the expense of working-class Americans.

Not by coincidence, the current bailouts advocated by Washington bear a striking resemblance to their own policies of economic extortion through the mechanisms of free trade.

As a replacement for jobs that produce real goods, America’s “New Economy” is now characterized by a service economy that’s based on scavenging wealth from the huge Ponzi scheme designed by Washington.

Re: Another Victim of America's Ponzi Scheme Economy

investorzzo - this is a great article, the best I've read about our damaging trade policies in a long time.

A private banking cartel has a monopoly in issuing and controlling our monetary system.  The big banks on Wall Street control the interest rate and volume of money entering the system through their dominance of the New York Federal Reserve.  A clear conflict of interest.

The middle class is being eliminated, their wealth moving to an uber wealthy few.  The private banking cartel is bleeding us dry, like a 12 lb. lamprey parasitically attached to an 8 lb. bass.

Why do we accept having a private banking cartel run our monetary policy; which they do secretly behind closed doors.  The meeting minutes are destroyed and explanations are seldom given.

They are the ones that are ruining things but inexplicably, they were the big beneficiaries of the bail-out.  And now they want more control.  I say we fire them.

Yes, WHY indeed?   So, let's fire them.  How would you propose we do that, given their extreme power with our gov't?

Ben A,

The problem is that most people don't know about the Fed.  They are just starting to figure it out.  I'm not sure how many people it will take to hit the "tipping point" whereby the discovery goes viral.  We just have to keep pushing towards that point.

Very well said Larry. This is why I keep preaching. Hopefully enough people will listen and take action. Half the battle is just getting folks to understand.
