Solar revolution

This is an interesting video featuring some of the advances that have occurred in recent years enabling countries such as Germany to generate increasing percentages of their electrical power from solar energy.  It features Herman Scheer who was the German that steered his country towards renewable (solar) energy policies over the past 2 decades.

I liked the vid, but then I

I liked the vid, but then I started thinking (Ouch!).  Do we really have the $$, resources, and inclination to actually implement this transition energy source, big-time, for the developed and emerging economies?  Will it just allow us to blithely carry on generating heat and stuff for 8 Billion people?  As much as I like solar, I'm not convinced that solar will change our predicament.  Aloha, Steve

Here is a true solar revolution. (It spins)
