But apparently blood clots are a symptom?

Study authors, from a hospital in Nice, France, suggested that respiratory tract infections more common in winter might make patients more vulnerable to blood clots.

Perhaps check with your doctor or gynecologist for more information or literature.  It’s possible a daily, wide spectrum probiotic supplement may be of some help as well as not shaving too closely in the sensitive areas (at least until thong season is back in vogue).
