    Vaccine Pavement Protests

Wow – just found this in my own city. Very effective passive resistance:

    well organized

They told a cohesive story in 40-50 signs and were present on both sides of the road.

Well organised indeed. I’ve always held a dim view of my city – but it seems that people can get it together when it is most needed.

I know those are volunteers, but it’s frustrating when people are pointing the sign the wrong way, or there’s someone else standing in front of it blocking the view.

It’s a good effort though. I doubt they will sway many opinions, but they do show like minded people they are not alone and that is just as important.

I have another example of pavement protests. I found an article on 4Channers creating a dystopian vaccine campaign to “red pill” the masses.

This is a good idea. The format is effective (short messages in large, clear, black on white print). The content strategy is also clever. The messages are written from the standpoint of an authority figure with the intent of being more shocking and less sugar coated than real official statements.

Not all of their messages will have much of an impact on someone who currently follows the mainstream narrative though. Some of those statements could have come from Australian public officials and the majority of people there are not alarmed by them. You have to dig at the things that will make average, narrative following people uncomfortable.

Overall I see three effective strategies.

Acknowledge shocking things that people may not be aware of (vaccine deaths, miscarriages) and callously disregard them.

Examples:

THE VACCINES HAVE KILLED LESS PEOPLE THAN THEY HAVE SAVED.

MISCARRIAGES ARE ACCEPTABLE. GET VACCINATED.

Second, there is a lot of implied guilt in a denial. If a political opponent leaves you defending accusations—even if they are not true—they will still leave a stain on your reputation. This is why you can sue people for defamation.

Public health officials wisely use statements like “The vaccines are safe and effective.”, rather than “The vaccines are not harming people.”, or “The vaccines are not failing.”

In fact, those are good examples. I’ll call them loaded denials.

THE VACCINES ARE NOT HARMING PEOPLE.

THE VACCINES ARE NOT KILLING PEOPLE.

THE VACCINES ARE NOT FAILING.

The third strategy is to find the things average people are aware of and concerned about and bring them out in the open in the most blunt and shocking way.

Example:

KEEP GETTING THE BOOSTERS OR LOSE YOUR FREEDOMS.

KEEP GETTING THE BOOSTERS OR LOSE YOUR JOB.

Boosters are a concern even to people who have gotten vaccinated.

The beauty of some of these is that you don’t even need to be clandestine by posting them in the real world. Many of these would get past the social media censors because they are worded like supportive statements (especially the loaded denials).

Someone on another forum came up with some good ones. I’ll quote them here.

DISCUSSING YOUR VACCINE SIDE EFFECTS WILL LEAD TO PRISON.

PARENTS WHO DISCUSS THEIR CHILDREN’S VACCINE SIDE EFFECTS MUST BE REPORTED TO CHILD SERVICES.

NO VACCINE IS PERFECT. IF YOUR CHILD DIES, REMEMBER – IT IS FOR THE GREATER GOOD.

THE VACCINE WILL KILL MANY CHILDREN. BUT IT IS FOR THE GREATER GOOD. WE MUST PROTECT THE ELDERLY.

REJECTING BOOSTER SHOTS WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT AND PRISON TIME.

EXPERIENCING SEVERE SIDE EFFECTS DOES NOT EXEMPT YOU FROM FUTURE BOOSTER SHOTS.

YOU MUST SUBMIT TO MANDATORY BOOSTER SHOTS TO KEEP YOUR VACCINE PASSPORT.

THE SIDE EFFECTS YOU ARE EXPERIENCING DO NOT EXEMPT YOU FROM BOOSTER SHOTS.

IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW MANY SIDE EFFECTS YOU HAVE. IT IS FOR THE GREATER GOOD.

THE NEW VARIANT HAS MADE YOUR VACCINE PASSPORT INVALID.

A NEW VARIANT HAS BEEN DETECTED. YOUR VACCINE PASSPORT IS NOW INVALID.

I don’t know which messages they are using, but there are people printing these out and spreading them around.

I think they are getting the messages from The Expose Blog headlines:

There is apparently a low vaccine uptake in my city – lots of minority groups living here too. Not many liberal, white-collar, suck-ups etc., because houses are too cheap for them….

My favourite message was a parody of a National Lottery advert:

It Could be You!

The National Clottery
