    Using Tampons for a mask

Hello,
I was thinking of a mask  using 2 tampons. One would be taped around my nose and the other one loosely in front of my mouth and also taped.  I would then cover them both with one of the neck socks that one slips on over the head.  You know you see fisherman wearing them as wind and sun guards.

Anyone know about such a use for tampons with a mask or could comment

Thanks in advance…

Tampons…hm. I was thinking sanitary pads glued into a bandanna. Though I do have plenty of masks; thanks to this site and previous prepping, my dad’s caregiver does not have masks. I bought some vent filters and have cut them and been using my glue gun to adhere them to my surgical masks to bump up the filtration.
