BREAKING: Mandatory vax for VA medical employees
Biden just announced vaccinations are mandatory for VA medical employees.
Hmmm, why VA? I would have thought Alabama would have been more of a focus. Or wait, are you talking about the Veteran’s Assistance (administration, albatross, airhockey or some other “a” word)?
Not VA as in Virginia, but VA as in Veteran’s Administration.
That had confused me a bit at first.
This sucks. This will affect unjabbed friends of mine.
Not sure what they will do. They have 8 weeks to figure it out – best hope is that a court or bureaucracy gums up the works with a challenge.
I saw someone post last week a protocol for those looking to clear their system after being vaxed. But for some reason I can’t find it now….dang PP search function not much help. I think it was a Mercola Mikovitz strategy.
I got several family members working in hospital settings to include the VA, and pressure is building on them to get jabbed.
This could possibly put some sand in the gears in some places:
Some health-care union officials who had raised previous concerns about vaccination mandates remained largely silent after the wave of announcements Monday. Representatives for National Nurses United and the SEIU did not return requests for comment.
But other labor organizers spoke out against the push.
“In order for everyone to feel safe and welcome in their workplaces, vaccinations must be negotiated between employers and workers, not coerced,” Randi Weingarten, the president of the American Federation of Teachers, said in a statement.
“If the Mayor wants to mandate Vax or weekly testing for City employees, he must first [bargain] over its impact #cityworkerslivesmatter,” tweeted Henry A. Garrido, the executive director of District Council 37, New York City’s largest municipal employees union.
Yes we live in insane times. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/doj-vaccine-mandates-legal
That is just a DOJ opinion. It is not binding. If someone brings suit, it is up to the courts to decide.
The courts often give deference to DOJ decisions, but not always.
