Trump’s prophylaxis regimen?
From fragments of information I’ve been able to find, it looks like Trump may have been taking at least part of the prophylaxis regimen from the EVMS CRITICAL CARE COVID-19 MANAGEMENT PROTOCOL:
How do you know? Source? I am very sure that his HCQ pre treatment had something to do with fast recovery too!
Not sure if this was “prophylaxis”, but:
On Friday afternoon, Conley said in a White House letter that Trump also has taken zinc, vitamin D, the heartburn drug famotidine, melatonin and a daily aspirin.
In the article below, you can get a sense of what CNN believes is “state of the art” in COVID-19 care. Vitamin-D: doesn’t work. Zinc: no effect. Remdesivir: awesome.
Not sure which “doctors” came up with this CNN content, but I sure wouldn’t want any of them treating me. Just saying. Trump’s doctor got him out of hospital in 5 days. He definitely did something right.
Proof = in the pudding.
Amusingly, this regimen is mostly what I take too. Minus the famotidine and aspirin.
In the spirit of “even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while,” think of how many lives might have been saved/improved in the USA/world had listened to Trump early in the game when he was doing little for the country but he was telling people to take HCQ.
And if people had trusted him, they probably would have investigated and find out about zinc/zithro also.
I bet thousands of lives would have been saved.
BTW I haven’t heard a thing about Baylor recommending HCQ after I saw it here and I copied it to XM Doctor Radio and People’s Pharmacy.
“Minus the famotidine and aspirin.”
What you linked to is one of the sort of news fragments I found. That, plus others, matches the EVMS prophylaxis I linked to above.
As explained on the outstanding MedCram channel on YouTube made by an emergency care MD who independently confirms the study-based validity of the EVMS protocol, the melatonin in that regimen is not to help with sleep, but due to anti-COVD-19 properties found in studies, the same sort of studies that resulted in the other components of the EVMS prophylaxis recommendations. I don’t take that because I have sleep apnea.
You are correct in not taking the aspirin because that is part of the EVMS regimen AFTER becoming symptomatic. I, also, don’t take famotidine. I don’t like taking meds of any kind long-term. I only take the vitamin and mineral components of the regimen: C, D, and zinc along with 100mcg of selenium which helps with zinc uptake in place of quercetin which is intended to do the same since I had a strange reaction to it.
HCQ may remain inside the cells -where it matters- long after it has “cleared” from plasma, thus offering long term potection.
