This coming election, My Dear Americans – From a Canadian Friend

As a Canadian, I have no real ability to impact the upcoming election cycle in the US.  However watching twitters, the news streams and news media from up here, i am pretty horrified at how things appear to be unfolding south of our border.  I want to post a proposal for a political alternative that has popped up, and to spread the work about a path forward in choosing a leader to govern other than Biden or Trump.  I would love to hear any of your thoughts on whether and how this can be made to work.  The proposal is spearheaded by Dr Brett Weinstein…please have a look

Your post falls under the category of Politics which is one of the taboo subjects on this site, as it clearly pushes an agenda.

My thought is that as Canadians, it is not our place to try to impact the outcome of an election in another country.  The Americans can vote for whoever they wish.

OFF-LIMIT TOPICS
Regretfully, through much trial and even more error, we’ve determined that there are several topics that seem to escape the ability of otherwise careful and considerate people to discuss pleasantly in an online forum:
Religion
Abortion
Politics (from a partisan standpoint or otherwise seen as pushing an agenda)
These topics are not allowed, and any threads or posts containing them will be promptly removed. We wish it could be otherwise, but our hard-earned experience is that these topics are not worth the trouble. We appreciate your understanding.

Karen, do you think if we get behind this plan that we could have a competent, rational, center government like Canada? 😂

I agree with JWhite.  Let’s don’t talk about this political agenda unless it has something to offer about The Three E’s. Thanks for caring though.

Pipe dream. It would be corrupted in a red hot minute.

Fair enough, certainly understandable that politics can be challenging to discuss. Know that I have no particular “agenda” other than seeking a way forward to society I want to be a part of.  (Thanks for the JT photo, made me lol)

Is that a joke? Trudeau is a mafioso-type character. He sends thugs to harass his biggest critics, trying to use contrived laws to incarcerate them. Watch for yourself:

If that wasn’t a joke, and you think you’re informed about Trudeau, then you’d want to carefully consider what sources of information it is that you’ve been paying attention to, and which would be some of the relevant ones you’ve been missing.
