Re: The Definitive Conspiracy Theorist, New World Order, …

There is a dark side.
It is as real as the positive changes we see happening all around us.

I spend some time with people who sometimes attract the forces of the dark to them through their positive actions, and they say that this battle is as dramatic and as vivid as any science fiction movie. Alot like star wars, or the lord of the rings, except more hidden.

Very few of these people who immerse themselves in negativity are aware of what they are doing but those that are are the most dangerous.

How to deal with these forces? The way that Dmitri Orlov deals with politicians: “Don’t believe them, don’t fear them, don’t ask anything of them.”

Peace and love, Liam

Well said, Liam.  A few years ago, my husband and I attracted the dark forces by asking too many questions, and trying to get to the truth.  That was the beginning of a personal search to understand the "dark forces", and it has been a real eye opener.  From our experiences, I can confirm your observations and also your recommendations for dealing with them.  Thanks for speaking up.

Sorry… maybe I jumped in too late.  Can I ask what you two are talking about?  It sounds interesting.

But who’s to say that they won’t be rounding up people like cattle, or the Japs, or sheep, or slaves, and etc., and placed into concentration camps?
"….or the Japs…."  How tolerant.

It’s 2009, not 1941.  Why don’t we call them Japanese, or Japanese-Americans, or Nikkeijin.

"Japs"?? – I find that offensive.
Sorry… I didn’t meant to be offensive.  I thought it was okay to say/write Jap.  I was attempting to defend the rights of people and animals… I guess I did a poor job of it.

On December 10, 2008, Joshua Tree-based News Director Gary Daigneault of radio station KCDZ received a faxed press release from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) that announced an upcoming DUI checkpoint. But this was not like any other press release Daigneault had ever read.

It stated that the Morongo Basin office of the CHP, the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) planned to conduct a “joint sobriety/license checkpoint on Friday Dec. 12, somewhere in the unincorporated/incorporated area of San Bernardino County.”

Re: The Definitive Conspiracy Theorist, New World Order, …

C’mon Greg –

This is utterly ridiculous.  Especially the manic ravings of the idiot defense lawyer Kennedy:

Palm Springs DUI Attorney, Michael Kennedy, also considers the presence of Marines at the checkpoint to be cause for alarm. “The enactment of the Posse Comitatus Act in 1878 was primarily the result of Southern outrage at the use of Federal troops in the South following the Civil War,” he said, to give historical context for the law.

Kennedy mentioned that he planned to attend the checkpoint, but decided not to because he heard that the military was not going to be present. “If I had known that Marines were going to be there I would have gone and got it on camera,” he commented.

Kennedy says that he has made an offer to defend anyone for free who was arrested in the checkpoint, but at the time of publication he had not contacted or been contacted by any of the individuals who were there. He says that anyone out there arrested at this checkpoint should contact him, by using Google to look him up.

He also went on to say that a policeman told him there is no difference between using the Marines at a civilian checkpoint and Marine Military Police Officers patrolling the streets. “When you have military presence in uniforms with guns, the purpose is to set up an intimidating atmosphere,” Kennedy said. “It was terrorism in the past and it’s terrorism now.”

Kennedy is outraged over this checkpoint and is adamant about exposing its illegality.

“Employing military [Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force] to enforce civilian law on the streets of the Republic is far more illegal than the things they are asked to enforce, and it must be resisted and fought at all costs, because liberty lies in the balance.”

Posse comitatusmy arse!!  NFW.  This guy is a complete moron.  Being present at a checkpoint is not use of military for law enforcement.  A defense lawyer who doesn’t understand posse comitatus should be disbarred because he is too stupid to practice.

The "explanation" for this is quite simple.  Civilian checkpoints in areas in close proximity to military installations inevitably end up arresting servicemembers.  Rather than incur additional taxpayer costs by transporting military members to civilian jails, they are turned over to MPs (Army), SPs (Navy) or MMP (Marine MPs) where the servicemembers are held on base.  The servicemembers are prosecuted under the UCMJ and punished by their respective service branch.  Then they face civil or criminal charges stemming from the event.

Just about every announced DUI checkpoint here in Virginia Beach has MPs present – for the sole purpose of taking away servicemembers who get caught.  They aren’t there to create an "intimidating atmosphere".  The checkpoint is run by local peace officers and it is only after a servicemember is caught that they even engage with the MPs or SPs.  That engagement consists of turning the servicemember over, tossing him in a van and being driven back to the servicemember’s base.  The command is notified and a Unit SITREP message is sent to the appropriate senior commands.

Kennedy will get his behind handed to him trying to "expose the illegality".

"Liberty lies in the balance"  how freakin’ ridiculous is that?

C’mon, Dogs. . . surely, if you have a good point to make, you’re intelligent enough to do it without name calling.  You only damage your own credibility with that rhetoric.

Cloud –

Point taken.  With an article as preposterous as that one, containing farcical ravings from someone who doesn’t understand posse comitatus but should, my fuse is unfortunately short.

My "burn to bang" time on contentious issues is typically much longer.  I make no apologies for this one, but will try to play nicely from here on out.

Thanks, Dogs, it was uncharacteristic of you.  Sometimes I too have to step back and take a couple breaths when I read posts that are radically different from my perspective.  Sometimes I come away having changed my mind.  Other times I am confirmed in my original position.  The important thing is not to be right, but to get to the truth.  Harsh rhetoric overshadows the point you are trying to make.

And now, a propos of nothing, I’ve been wondering for some time what the inspiration for your user name was.  Or should I be afraid to ask?  Or should I mind my own business?
