    Something for Nothing

Many people are now educating themselves vis a vis the economy.  And although this is truly a wonderful thing, it seems a bit late in the game.  With all the information out there, I have yet to see anyone discuss what I feel is the true cause of much, if not most, of the suffering, that is, the seemingly inexhaustible desire to have something for nothing.

Capitalism may be many things, but it seems to me that it is simply another ‘something for nothing’ scam.  In this case, people have their labor appropriated through the use of capital which demands interest (labor, represented in its money form).  Historically, of course, people were either owned outright or partially owned (their labor, that is).

If you have an economy where the best you can hope for is what has transpired over the past hundred years, shouldn’t it be time to kind of re-think this situation?

Well, I completely agree with you.  I just don’t understand why most people don’t get it.

I guess we’re just going to have to agree to agree.

Not really, but since nobody seemed to be interested in my post, I thought I would have a little fun.  People really seem to take all of these things quite seriously.

The world is tough enough, so why not try to enjoy a wonderful forum such as CM.  If you don’t learn how to laugh at the insanity of human existence, it’s going to be a very, very long life.

I, for one, thought it was hilarious! Perhaps we’re wired similarly, anarkst.

Perhaps we’re all hilarious! Or, loosing our minds.
