Something Evil Comes This Way
I believe this topic is so important it deserves it own thread. We have been told many times we must be eternally vigilant if we are to preserve our precious liberties. If this web site stands for anything it stands for the proposition that a "game-ending" financial crisis is highly likely in the near — whatever that means — future. Secondly this site is all about preparation in the likely event "something bad" will happen. This is intended not to state a point of view but to invite rational discussion on the liklihood that the present regime will declare some type of emergency that would effectively overturn our constitutional republic. Some would dismiss this thought as a mere "conspiracy theory." Others may argue that the institution of some type of totalitarian regime is not only probable but likely.
The first item is a youtube link entitled "Obama’s preventative/prolonged detention plan:"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4iT30UFyCzQ I believe this is referring to a speech made by Obama in May of 2009.
The second item is a blog posting by Porter Davis on the possibility of the declaration of some type of emergency. Totalitarian governments in times of crisis, real or contrived, have used various pretexts and stategies in the declaration of emergencies. Think FDR. Think Abraham Lincoln. These various possibilities are exhaustively discussed. The link follows this excerpt:
2009 could be the turning point that America decisively abandons the remnants of a Constitutional Republic in favor of a fascist dictatorship. We’ve already traveled far along this path since the events of September 11, 2001 terrorized Americans into embracing a police state at home and never-ending wars abroad. Mix in the destruction of the American economy and coming death of the once-mighty US dollar, and it is easy to see we are on our way to becoming a third world nation ruled with an iron fist. Obama, like his predecessors, is committed to merging America into a New World Order.
This autumn has all the makings of the implementation of the Final Solution for American liberty. What we are likely to see is a series of emergencies that create an environment of fear and chaos. The government’s response will be martial law and the neutralization of all opposition. Whether this process takes three months or three years, this is where we’re headed. If Americans don’t wake up soon and take steps to stop this process in its tracks, the great American experiment is over, and political liberty will be tossed down an Orwellian memory hole.
It is time to quit thinking that everything will work out okay this time, just like it has before. Germans thought that in 1933. They were wrong. Things will only work out okay if you and countless others wake up yourselves and others, and start taking action. The first step is awareness. The second step is personal preparation. The third step is holding your political representatives accountable, while you still can. The fourth step is Plan B, if step three fails."
Thanks for post, it takes courage to speak freely in our world of political correctness and an ever-increasing list of discussion "taboos." I appreciate that we are free to discuss your ideas here in the "back room" so to speak, rather than just deleting them as is so often done elsewhere (thanks Moderators). Anyways, on to your post!

You nailed the beast in one paragraph! Your use of the term "fascist" is precise, as Benito Mussolini said “The Fascist conception of the State is all-embracing; outside of it no human or spiritual values can exist, much less have value. Thus understood, Fascism is totalitarian, and the Fascist State—a synthesis and a unit inclusive of all values—interprets, develops, and potentates the whole life of a people."
"Fascism is therefore opposed to Socialism to which unity within the State (which amalgamates classes into a single economic and ethical reality) is unknown, and which sees in history nothing but the class struggle. Fascism is likewise opposed to trade unionism as a class weapon. But when brought within the orbit of the State, Fascism recognizes the real needs which gave rise to socialism and trade-unionism, giving them due weight in the guild or corporative system in which divergent interests are coordinated and harmonized in the unity of the State."
We are seeing this now as unions, civil rights groups and liberals are rallying behind the banner of socialism. If they understood it was fascism would they be so supportive? And likewise, conservatives are lured to give up their freedoms under the "promise" of security and tax cuts?
Mussolini was very clear in saying "Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.” That’s where we are heading, but they prefer to imply that it is really just "socialism."
The NWO plan is very old and has been well documented and recorded through history for anyone willing to look. One problem is that true history has been "cleansed" of all references regarding our 300 year monetary war – who issues and controls our monetary system…the government or private banks?

Well said. That is the diabolical and frustrating part of their plan; most people will be financially whipped and enslaved before they figure out that a battle was fought.
Again, thanks for your post…
I appreciate the post. It’s encouraging to see more like minded people coming to the forefront. As Larry stated, this issue is well documented and IMO proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Unfortunately, the persons in power write history. Americans have been fed/trained/educated a lie their entire lives. Until there’s an "awakening" and everyone takes the "red pill", we’re doomed.
Thank you all for the posts!! This all makes so much sense it’s scary.
So, OK, the question foremost in my mind is well, and now what? If we have taken the red pill, what is the next step? Next rallying cry? Next action?
‘Remember the Alamo’ has some value for me personally–but probably won’t move even the enlightened masses…I ask in all seriousness, if I follow the Definitive Gun thread (really great info) and the Definitive Permaculture thread and the financial analsis threads for a play-by-play, up-to the minute running commentary of how it’s all spiraling, how are we collectively responding?
Maybe it’s just the heat here today, but I am antsy as h***. Anyone else sensing a great disturbance in the force?
There is definitely some trembling occurring in the "force" as pressures continue to build. Obamas popularity is plummeting, T-bills are becoming more difficult to sell, unemployment is rising and the dollar has been dropping.
The other thing is that I think people are beginning to wake up more and more. It is still politically incorrect to discuss the reality of the NWO and the fact that our money system is a very old scam. As Spock said on the bridge of the Enterprise "I believe what I believe because I have seen the evidence." Those of us who are figuring things out are not likely to fall back into denial – we’re far more likely to sway others to the cause.
As far as a group game plan to move forward, I’ll have to think about that…good question!
We’re right in the thick of it . . . we’ve got ringside seats in the most earth shaking events in the history of mankind . . . If folks can’t see the world for what it is, now, then surely it will never be more obvious. There are moments in life, and in history, when every decision has much more impact on our lives, temporally and eternally, than in "ordinary" times. This is such a time . . . On the one hand, that’s intense and scary . . . on the other, it’s a relief from the vacuous existance that most Americans usually lead. Like Tolkien’s Eowyn, I more greatly fear a meaningless life, than physical harm . . . This is a time when every moment, every choice, indeed, everything we allow ourselves to think, has greater impact . . .
Thank you all for posting your views, I have been reading the main forums for a long time, and read many comments by all of you, but this is my first trip into the controversial forum, I wish I had looked sooner !!! It appears that most of you are a bit more educated than I am, but we are coming to the same conclusions, and there is no way that any rational person, paying attention, and trying to find out why all these problems are occurring, wouldn’t be very concerned at what is happening. I was one of those other people until 2 years ago, when I wanted to know why illegal immigrants were allowed to come and go at will, while the government was constantly harping about homeland security, and methodically taking away more rights of U.S. citizens, telling us it was for our protection, and trampling the U.S. Constitution at every turn. I know that politicians by and large are not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but when nearly every decision they make goes against the well being, and desires of the American people, time after time, something is very wrong. The almost laughable part, if it were not so serious, is that in a country that puts burglar alarms on it’s cars and houses, dead bolts on it’s doors, money locked up in bank vaults, and insures itself against almost every calamity that life might give them, that it totally ignores the only thing of true value that we have, our liberties and our FREEDOM. I think LogansRun is probably correct, unless we have a massive awakening very soon, the chances of turning this around are slim. I am trying very hard to get prepared for all this, but started late and feel like time is running out. I appreciate all of you for your candor, and wish you the best with whatever comes. Take Care, nICk
I agree with many of the sentiments here, but I differ in that I think its not by an organized group or groups but rather simply because of human greed, hubris and incompetence married together. While america has lost many freedoms and civil liberties recently I don’t think it qualifies as a police state yet, I’ll try and get a friend of mine who grew up in northern ireland to describe the differences.
