Sociopaths gotta sociopath
Regardless of labels and disguises, sociopaths gotta sociopath. 🤬
I find John Pilger’s journalism lacks any real content to be honest, but has a lot of flashy snippets, “The Threat of China is becoming big news – as the media is beating the drums of war.” Except it isn’t, it really isn’t. The UK media is solely fixated on COIVD – not its origins – but death tolls. We daren’t say anything that might upset the dragon, to give a little context the UK is heavily reliant on China for basic pharmaceuticals and manufactored materials, we ain’t tipping over that apple cart.
I remember watching John Pilger’s “War on Democracy” and reading his “The New Rulers of the World”. Both were thoroughly underwhelming, I find Robert Fisk gives a better insight (and criticism) of the Western war machine. His book, “The Great War for Civilisation” ought to be on everyone’s bookshelf (IMO).
Thanks for that. I love John Pilger. China is being demonized currently, for sure. The problems with the pathologically aggressive mentality, is it sees everything through the lens of what it is, rather than what the object of its aggression is.
Anyone who believes China is in any way benevolent is wildly naive or still in diapers. To cure that I suggest a little sojourn in Tibet. Or go to Mcleod Ganj where the Tibetan government in exile resides, along with the Dalai Lama.
Hang out with the Tibetan refugees and see the squalor of a people dispossessed. Take a few hours and stroll through the Tibetan Museum and look at the over 15,000 photographs documenting the destruction of a people and their culture.
There is one photograph of a young woman lying face down in the snow in a Himalayan Mtn pass. She had just been shot by a Chinese soldier. For what? For trying to leave. The environment in Tibet is being destroyed the people are being displaced by Chinese .
Since 2009 over 156 monks , nuns and others have self immolated in protest.
China is bent on world domination. The lessons of Tibet are there for all to see. It’s coming to a country near you.
Simple request: maybe give us a little more context about what the clip your linking to is? Or what interpretation of it you’re suggesting. Especially when it’s 2 hours long.
I see China as essentially a vehicle for Han-race ethno-nationalism even more than Communism, but either one is pretty unpleasant stuff.
However, I’d also love it if we could avoid a Thucydides Trap, ie when the declining great power (US) doesn’t go down without a war fought with the rising power (China). I also think that China probably wisely recognizes that the US is less its enemy than the threat of internally driven disintegration. For all its division, the US is still basically a culturally united nation. I feel like China currently is more an empire than a nation.
Agreed that the Chinese cultural genocide of Tibet is one of the 2oth centuries great tragedies and makes world culture greatly poorer.
There was an interesting video I watched about the formation of China – basically a slow (two thousand year) event of increasing Han ethnic dominance in the region – it would explain what is happening in Tibet and Xinjiang.
Regarding Chinese policy, I’m currently a quarter of the way through “Unrestricted Warfare” written by two Chinese Colonels in 1999. It is basically a blue-print for how China can achieve victory over a more powerful nation (the US) without having to fight a ‘traditional’ war. It is absolutely fascinating, and shows how far ahead they are in strategical thinking.
I haven’t been keeping up with John Pilger but his older documentaries are among the best ever produced. The guy’s a hero. Is he missing relevant newer trends? Quite likely, as several other anti-war icons have been.
For all its division, the US is still basically a culturally united nation.
I disregard anything coming out of the mainstream about China right now, as we have entered the ‘fog of war’ cold war territory, where propaganda against a perceived enemy becomes the norm. It doesn’t mean that anything negative about China is wrong. It just means, I can’t trust the information for accuracy.
More and more people claim China is evil, as if the claim is axiomatic. As far as overtaking the world, economically…well….that was handed them on a silver platter by Western powers.
The Ughurs being imprisoned en masse? I just don’t know. If you drill down to source material and find the claim comes from Epoch Times, it can’t be trusted. Might be happening, but there really is no way to know for sure.
When I read Unrestricted Warfare years ago, I had the same reaction. When one reads it and looks around, one realizes that the war with China has been waged for decades (preceding even the Korean War) but most in the West don’t even realize it. Witness the recent release of the Wu flu bioweapon.
That doesn’t mean that China is the only player though. Watching Yuri Bezmenov many years ago reveals Russia as another key player. In fact, Stalin was involved in this war as early as the 1920s.
In the past, the Nazis were a major player. Nowadays, players include Islamic fundamentalists and even our own Deep State.
The cultural wars in this country involve a medley of other players as well.
But there’s an unrestricted warfare player that is bigger than what’s in that book, a power that uses all the various parties noted above and others to wage an unrestricted war of a scope and magnitude beyond the imaginings of most people. It’s a transnational satanic cabal that uses all of these parties and more as its weapons and uses them against body, mind, and soul. Many will scoff at this premise. But it’s revealing itself now in unprecedented fashion and at any unprecedented rate. And it’s only just begun.
As I’ve said again and again, the 3Es are important but at its essence, the source of our problems is spiritual. Until that fact is recognized and acted upon, we will lose more and more ground to the enemy.
This is becoming more clear than ever before.
The US speaking out on human rights
kind of like Jeffrey Dahmer hosting a “be nice to flowers and other living beings” page on Facebook.
I think China is making a huge mistake trying to wipe out their Uighur Muslim population.
I expect that sometime in the next 20 years, they will realize, “Oh Sh-t, we NEEDED that diversity”.
