    Republican big top show

I have to vent my opinion on the republican race. If they get anymore ludicrous they may be the circus to beat. Look out Ringling, Barnum & Bailey.

Do you really think its any

Do you really think its any different this time? Or, could you be seeing things from a new perspective. I started opting out about 10 years ago but it has always seemed to be a circus to me. Just a bunch of talking points over and over again by everyone, nothing ever really getting resolved. What we need to do is get the fed. gov. out of our daily lives.

    Yes! this time it is

Yes! this time it is different in that they are being blantant about saying things that they otherwise did in an underhanded way. When in the past was it so evident on TV debates who they are trying to protect i.e the top 20-30%, I do not believe that it is the top 1% that are the only problem. When you say get the federal goverment out of our daily lives what departments are we talking about exactly. What would you like to see get resolved.

I am in the to 20%. I think

I am in the to 20%. I think you should research how much the top 20% make. I doubt its anywhere near as much as you think

Any and all intrusion by the federal government in our daily lives must end.

Lets just start with the FDA. I am not allowed to sell the milk my cow produces unless its "processed" in a multi-million dolar facility. I cannot butcher my own live stock and sell it to my neighbors or friends unless its processed in a multi-million dollar facility. I cannot even grow my own food and make it into a meal to sell. Left unspoken is the fact that almost every food borne contamination comes from these facilities, where these animal are pumped full of drugs just to survive in their over crowded, feces infested cages. All of the intrusion by the fedgov is to protect big business, and all of that legislation has come from both dems and repubs.

How about the patriot act, homeland security, TSA, corporations with "rights", gun control, and now indefinate dention. How much of your liberty are you willing to give up?

[/quote] Why research when I can hear it from the horses mouth, tell me what your total gross income is. It stands to reason that the top 40% are not willing to sacrifice for the bottom 40%, by paying their fair share of taxes.

    From top 20% site

MM: What portion of the wealth is owned by the upper groups?
Wolff: The top 5 percent own more than half of all wealth. In 1998, they owned 59 percent of all wealth. Or to put it another way, the top 5 percent had more wealth than the remaining 95 percent of the population, collectively. The top 20 percent owns over 80 percent of all wealth. In 1998, it owned 83 percent of all wealth. This is a very concentrated distribution.

Here we go again. It stands

Here we go again.

Instead of us paying more taxes why doesn’t the gov. spend less? Why do you think the gov. spending as much as it does is ok?

    NoFiat,Any chance you are

NoFiat,

Any chance you are going to answer my question? In case you missed it here it is again in simpler terms.

Why do I(we) have give more of our labor(money) to the government? When I add up all of the taxes I pay to the government at all levels it comes out to 54% of my income.  Isn’t that enough? I think its too much and you still want me to give more.
