N95 Masks, Hand Sanitizer, Goggles, etc. – Supplies Limited:
Sure, but those are price gouging prices
I watched the video produced by Canadian Prepper about face masks and filters. Learned that the 40mm, P3R nato thread P3R filters down to .1 micron, less than the virus size. The CM-6M full face mask accepts the P3R filters. Nate, the Canadian Prepper, answered all my questions via e-mail in a timely manner. Glad I could order mask and filters from him. Thanks be to Sparky1 who messaged the info on the Canadian Prepper. Good video presentation too.
Gouged may they be, they are cheaper than anywhere else, and available, period. I’ve put a lot of hours, gasoline, and capital into acquiring these items. Buy some stuff or not, up to you.
I’m not sure if this has been posted here yet. I found this site which seems to be good when talking about homemade masks. https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/best-materials-make-diy-face-mask-virus/
For anyone wishing to buy or sell unimpeded by well-meaning but economically illiterate local governments: There are decentralized, uncensorable, open-source peer-to-peer marketplaces where nobody can see you trade, and nobody can stop you trading.
This is an app you download, not a website. The app automatically runs over Tor. Payments are usually done in Bitcoin or (much better) Monero for privacy. No, I do not have any financial stake though I do know some of the developers and love what they are doing.
Thanks for the info. It’s a pretty easy initial set-up. Looks like selling isn’t a go yet on the web–at least that’s what popped up. I’m also Bitcoin illiterate, so that will be a necessary education. Anyway, it’s a possibility as an alternative to Ebay, since I pulled my listings from them. They’ve been uncharitable toward their sellers of late.
Just wondering how disputes will be handled on this new app. There’s a famous YouTube video out there now of sellers being royally jerked around by Ebay in support of an unscrupulous buyer. Haven’t had it happen to me personally, but it was always a fear, especially when dealing in brand new merchandise.
