Post Currency Economic Decisions
I am new to the forum so if this isn’t the appropriate place to post this please let me know. My question is a mix between financial and emergency preparedness. For example the book”Where There Is No Doctor” is there an equivalent book? something like “Where there is no Economy”?
For instance, in an economy that transitions from having fiat currency to more of a barter system, what industries or services survive that transition? What would be the most effective crop to plant or thing to produce in my home to trade for other goods and services? I would also be interested in analysis of failed economies like Venezuela or Weimar Germany. What happens to the common man when paper money becomes worthless? Who fared best during such transitions?
I did some searching but couldn’t find anything similar to what i wanted. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Ferfal has written some books and has a blog on what happened in argentina. It is a very different take than typical bug out, prepper advice.
Ferfal is a good read.
Also, there was some articles put out by a guy penned “Selco”, about the real life of the Balkin wars.
Mel Tappin is a classic reference worth a look.
