Septimus –

Got it.  Two of the coins have cleaned up nicely enough to take some pics of the details.  I’ll try to get those out to you later this evening.

Kind of share your feelings on NZ as well – but we have decided to make the best of things here with family and the small (but growing) community we have.

You’re coming to Lowesville aren’t you?

What’s good for the Goose. . . ought to be fine with the Dog

Dogs;

First, you berate a new, and inexperienced member for posting a redundant forum, then you completely hijack that forum for a private conversation that is completely unrelated, and of little or no use to other members of the community.

The member with which you are conversing has an email link, and appropriately used your email link to respond to your question.

Please, have the same courtesy you would expect from others.  Since you have no interest in NWO theories, and have overtly asked those who do to confine their chats to appropriate forums, the least you could do is to follow your own demands.

Smile

Can this be the end of all this NWO nonsense on the CM forum?  I can only hope.

What I don’t understand is this . .  if you are disinterested in NWO theories, why do you keep wasting your time visiting forums that are overtly titled "NWO" and such, typing up posts, and returning to debate?  If you truly think this is all delusion, then ignore it.

When I run into a person or idea that is clearly delusional, I may state my case once, if it’s clear that the person is misinformed.  But if they refuse to hear the facts, and cling to their delusion, I waste no more time.

I guess my question is this:  why are you and other NWO debunkers so preoccupied with those who choose to explore these ideas?  I could understand your frustration if this topic was brought up in the midst of a forum about, say, gold trading.  But you chose to click on a forum titled, "Plans for NWO? Plans for Global Governance".  Then you complained about the content.

Also, please note that there is a Controversial Topics forum category, specifically for the following topics:  religion, politics, civil disobedience, and gun control.  NWO is not on that list.  So, until CM decides that this is an inapproprate topic for discussion on his site, it seems that it’s fair game.

Re: I prefer articles I can trust or source…
titanic,

I have been ‘around the internet’ for a long time and I no longer grant credence to articles where I cannot be sure of the editorial fact-checking process and/or which fail to provide sources or citations.

In this instance, the article has some very heavy duty quotes allegedly by Chester Ward and Kissinger, but there are no hyperlinks or footnotes to the source material so I have no way of knowing how much weight to give them.

In this day and age, when linking to a source is as simple as a few keystrokes, I wonder why this is not done. The options include:

  1. The quotes are fabricated
  2. The author is lazy
  3. The author presumes a level of trust in his/her material will be granted

Given the level of disinformation and competing agendas out there, I really only grant a very few authors the trust implied in #3. Seymour Hersh is an example of one.

I truly wish that people writing articles with extraordinary claims and implications would take the time to source their material.  This would greatly enhance my ability to determine whether or not to internalize their claims into my framework of understanding.

Without the sources, my answer these days is "not".

But perhaps that’s just me….
I agree in regards to the source and verification.

But even if not fully true in information, it’s thought provoking never the less.  If even half of what is discussed in this article is true, the nation as we know/knew it could be lost.  As well, much of what was considered "conspiracy theories" 5 years ago with hardly any backing other than hearsay, is now as much reality (if not more so) than what the Washington Post is spewing daily (with supposed backing).

IMO, read everything you can and make the decisions as to whether you believe them or not for yourself.  Or at least do the research THEN make that decision.

I certainly hope not.  You can either believe it or not but as Crash Course should have taught you, it hurts very little to prepare for a situation that could change your life and the lives of your loved ones.  If the "NWO nonsense" turns out to be nonsense (which IMO IS nonsense) at least I’m prepared and educated as well as I can be.

Re: Plans for NWO? Plans for Global Governance.

titanic – welcome to the forum!

I agree with Chris, quotation links are welcome to verify the source.
Your article makes some serious claims which makes the sourcing all the
more important.  We are deluged with "misinformation" on a regular
basis from the internet, media and policy makers and must remain
skeptical.

I’m familiar with this material and thought it might be a good idea
to source all the quotes in the article.  Hopefully, this will bring
enough credibility to the article to a allow meaningful discussion.
The best way for us to prepare is to understand what may be coming our
way – and this folks, is a big one.

Quote #1

Henry Kissinger, a CFR member, anticipates that President Obama will,
"…give new impetus to American foreign policy partly because the
reception of him is so extraordinary around the world. I think his task
will be to develop an overall strategy for America in this period when,
really, a new world order can be created. It’s a great opportunity, it
isn’t just a crisis."

Here is the actual CNBC interview – fast forward to around 2:37

Quote #2

"The International Institutions and Global Governance Program"

Yes this document does exist and is available for download or as an online brief at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) website (the link is to the direct page).

Quote #3

utilizes the resources of the "…David Rockefeller Studies Program to
assess existing regional and global governance mechanisms…"

This is taken, verbatim, from the "The International Institutions
and Global Governance Program" document – note page 1 from this .pdf download – "Concept Document"

Quote #4

The initial
funding for the program came with a $6 million grant from the Robina
Foundation, which claims that the grant is "…one of the largest
operating grants ever received in Council history."

Taken, verbatim, from the "The International Institutions and
Global Governance Program" document – .pdf download – "Development"

Quote #5

"The most powerful clique in these elitist groups have one objective in
common – they want to bring about the surrender of the sovereignty and
the national independence of the United States.  A second clique of
international members in the CFR comprises the Wall Street
international bankers and their key agents. Primarily, they want the
world banking monopoly from whatever power ends up in the control of
global government." – Rear Admiral Chester Ward

According to this link, this quote is sourced from Review of
the News
Apr. 9 1980 pg. 37 – Maybe someone else has better info, if not, I’ll try again later.

Quote #6

"In each of these spheres, the program will consider whether the most
promising framework for governance is a formal organization with
universal membership (e.g., the United Nations); a regional or
sub-regional organization; a narrower, informal coalition of
like-minded countries; or some combination of all three."

This is taken, verbatim, from the "The International Institutions and
Global Governance Program" document – note page 1 from this .pdf download – "Concept Document".

Quote #7

"…few countries have been as sensitive as the United States to
restrictions on their freedom of action or as jealous in guarding their
sovereign prerogatives." The program then states that the separation of
powers as stated in the Constitution, along with the U.S. Congress,
stand in the way of the United States assuming "new international
obligations."

"…the country’s longstanding tradition of liberal “exceptionalism”
inspires U.S. vigilance in protecting the domestic sovereignty and
institutions from the perceived incursions of international bodies.
Finally, the separation of powers enshrined in the U.S. Constitution,
which gives Congress a critical voice in the ratification of treaties
and endorsement of global institutions, complicates U.S. assumptions of
new international obligations."

This is taken, verbatim, from the "The International Institutions and
Global Governance Program" document – note page 4 from this .pdf download – "Concept Document"

Thank you Larry for finding this information, I am very interested in Dr. Martenson’s response to these sources as well as the interview I reference in post 6.

Titanic – take this for what it’s worth to you.  The "NWO nonsense" is not actionable.  What Chris is presenting about community building and preparing for the 3 Es is actionable.

Don’t you think that focusing educating yourself and preparing for the outcome of the 3Es is time better spent?

If half the stuff you guys talk about comes true it’s not going to matter anyway so why waste time worrying about it?
