Notice Board for Rallies and Protests
Given the increasing need/desire to get tangibly involved in the push back against mandates and tyranny, I thought it prudent for us to have a rally & protest notice board. If you have details of a rally or protest scheduled for your area, please consider posting it here. A suggestion for the subject line to help people quickly zero in on areas of interest might be the city/state/province location and date. E.g. Victoria, BC. Sept 18 2021. You could then post the details and who to contact info in the body of the comment. I will go first following launching this forum! 😊
Fantastic idea for a thread Jan.
Here’s a link to what looks like the organizing group.
IMO this is our only/last choice to let our voices be heard as MSM and Social Media has failed us in a disastrous way.
To have a psychological impact, you have to voice your dissent in person, out there in the real world where the risk of repercussions is real. Where you can make eye contact while you are doing it. At work, at home, at school, at church, at the gym, at the mall, and out on the street. You have to say it where those who disagree with you can see you saying it. You have to be the little boy who stood in front of the crowd and pointed at the emperor’s lack of clothes. That is how democracy works in its rawest form when the institutions of liberal democracy cease to function.
Words are not violence. Words are 100% peaceful, no matter how much you disagree with them or how much you are offended by them. But censorship in any form is a form of implied violence because, without your voice, you are held hostage by your censor and have no peaceful means of self-defence.
The Freedom4Victoria group protests twice weekly at the BC Legislature on Belleville Street, just west of the Remembrance Day memorial statue [how suitable – here we are, fighting for our freedoms yet again!] Time is 12 noon to 2:00 pm. Locations may change but this is the normal meeting place. You can find out more by emailing [email protected]
I have been attending on both days. Group size is about 30-40 but starting to grow! Signs are provided, or make you own! It is great to be with like-minded people who get it and are supportive of one another! And there are opportunities to engage passerby and help them to see the light! We had noticeable impact on a few people yesterday! 👍
Hope to see more Islanders there soon!! 💪🏻🙏🏻😊
