Newly infected cell sprouts multi-pronged tentacles studded with viral particles
Thank you Adam, Chris, and Evie for your teamwork in researching and disseminating studies, facts, news, logic, analysis, and reasoning on this pandemic virus.
You have saved hundreds of thousands of lives, perhaps more.
You can use my real name or user name or even my profile image if you want to.
I have learned more than I have ever wanted to about cell function, cell biology, RNA transcription, and everything virus.
They actually should call this the everything virus. It’s armed with everything, and attacks everything in ways I had not imagined possible, even displacing iron from red blood cells aside from it’s invasion of ACE-2 receptors.
Now, after nearly 6 months, we have an electron image of an infected cell which shows that the virus has seemingly altered the actual ACE-2 receptor cell and caused it to sprout tentacles.
- How is this possible? And could you do a review of what we know about the virus so far? I get confused about some details because there’s still a lot of misinformation.
The research was published in the journal Cell on June 26th, 2020.
