Willful (adj) : done deliberately; intentional
Ignorance (n) : lack of knowledge, education, or awareness

“Right now watching 4 hours of video is not possible – I don’t have a TV and I don’t plan on substituting my PC for one.”

  1. You have access to information, yet you refuse to consume it because it is too inconvenient to watch it on your PC.
  2. You watch a 60 min summary (<25% of the information), designed clearly with brevity and concision in mind, and then you criticize its delivery. Audaciously, you even offer recommendations for improvements.
  3. Being ignorant of high level concepts like Carrying Capacity, Energy Slaves, EROEI, etc. you engage with members without providing sources or context for your arguments. This wastes our time.

Don’t worry, 95% of new arrivals to PP are afraid of due diligence. You’re par for the course.

PS. Elon Musk is a charlatan. “It’s true because I saw it on a Youtube video.” LOL

Wow Steven, I’ll keep a note to search out your words of wisdom. I can’t believe you know so many abberviations – I hope one day I will know those too! Like you I had no knowledge prior to joining this community. In the meantime I’m limited to having conversations with people who can communicate and have something to share 🙁 I’ll certainly make no more suggestions about the crash course.  I mean, it’s not like the 1hr summary video was intended to be an effective 1hr summary. I should keep any feedback to myself. I hope you are logging all yours away and will, one day, let it all shine.

I’ve been here ten years. You’ve been here three days.
Not everyone is at the same point in their journey.

I’ve noticed:
-Your behavior is evocative of a twenty-something ENTP.
-You engage to debate, not to learn.
-Your posts are checkered with many logically fallacious arguments including Ad hominems and strawmen.
Hell, at one point you even answered my question with a question.
A wise person once said, “Ain’t nobody got time for that.”

People around here know I don’t take kindly to new people who don’t engage with their basic responsibility of watching the 4-hour Crash Course AND reading Prosper!

If I’m mistaken, I sincerely apologize. You come-off as brash youth with something to prove.

Tell you what, here’s two bits of free advice:
Read William Catton Jr’s book Overshoot.
If you disagree with what you find there, then you can be 100% certain that Peak Prosperity is not for you_

Hi Steven Kelso,

If this community is full of people who react to constructive criticism the same way you do, then you can be sure I will not be here for long. I’ve been following Chris’ work for over a year and was hopeful that others here may demonstrate the same sort of open mindednesss.

You do not get to insult someone and sincerely apoligize at the same time. Although you are not the first here to engage in that strategy.

If people joining can’t share their impressions of the work as they engage with it, then this is a sad state of affairs. You did not address any of the concerns raised in my initial post. I mainly raised questions and made one suggestion. Instead you looked for an opportunity to perform your little display, which comunicates the opposite of what you intend.
