Nice summary, but if Joe Six Pack hasn’t figured it out by now, then…

Sorry Davos, I did not mean to get you so riled up.  (the problem with short blog posts is they do not convey the whole picture).  So with that said, I just wanted to point out that this “messenger” (Grayson) is a guy who plays both sides.  Our blog readers need to discern not only the message, but the intentions of the person who delivers it.  I’ll add that you are ABSOLUTELY right that fraud is the worst kind of theft.  I agree that banks have not been above board on any of these dealings.  Our reps in Congress need to stand up and get these criminals jail time. But they won’t…and that’s why this country is not in good shape.

Your past blog posts have been spot on….and continue to be.  I, for one, have appreciated your contributions.  Didn’t mean to “diss” your stuff.

nawalters,

What I’ve seen of Grayson so far reminds me of a populist demagogue in the making, something like Louisiana’s Huey Long perhaps.  Is his aggressive, over-the-top style simply a function of his normal personality, or is it a more calculated tactic for the sake of posturing and building popular support and political power?  I don’t know for a fact that he’s a Mussolini in the making but the pattern is there, so I agree his actions and intentions are worth extra scrutiny.  Times of trouble attract wannabe populist demagogues like flies to an outhouse, and likely will come at us from all sides, right & left, rich & working class, domestic & international.  Everybody keep your BS detectors on extra-high alert over the next decade or two!

an important development i see this morning is that several title insurance companies have announced they are not going to insure a number of (they did not say how many) foreclosure sales.  that is a big development as you can not get a mortgage without title insurance.  this will throw a monkey wrench into the grab your house people.  they simply will not be able to sell the houses they grab.  it will be interesting to see what the result of that is.

[/quote]When I told my wife about the fraud a few weeks ago she, a former underwriter of a different line, said, “Kiss the title companies goodbye.” This thing the banks concocted in conjunction with Wall St. is an unmitigated disaster of unimaginable proportions.

This is my first post.  I want to initially say how much I appreciate this site, the perspective of Chris Martenson and the intelligent audience that it attracts!

The information in thelink below was so disturbing that I had to pass it on.  Sitting on President Obama’s desk is a bill that would put into law “Interstate Recognition of Notarizations Act” .  It specifically includes “electronic” notarizations stamped en masse by computers.  Currently, only about a dozen states allow this.  It would essentially make it difficult for homeowners to challenge improper foreclosure attempts by big mortgage processors.  It quietly zoomed through the Senate last week.

I thought karmic justice had been served but maybe not.  Ellen Brown (author of The Web of Debt) where are you?
